I read up on the siblings sometime ago and based on the article, I didn't think they hated each other: Source: http://www.thepostgame.com/skip-rick-bayless-oklahoma-sports-chef-brothers That article is more than 2 years old, so something may have changed since then that I'm not aware of.
Being an ahole is one thing, but talking about stuff that makes zero sense only adds to why this country continues to have lousy leaders and lousy work from those leaders. Credibility needs to mean something. I don't get why we don't care about crediability anymore.
I am currently listening to a video of Paul Gasol talking about Kobe, and I am getting emotional. Let's get it done!!! Mamba on 3!!!
i think butler guaranteed a win again? anyway, let's not come out sluggish this time. i'd like to see a replay of game 1, plz. ok, i guess there was a slow start there, too, but you know what i mean. i'd rather not give them life or give us a chance to have a key injury.
I've had this bottle of water on my desk for 9 years now... I've taken it with me as I moved on to new companies, relocated from San Diego to Atlanta, etc... and I've always joked that I would drink it when we won our next championship. So here we are, at the precipice of #17... sitting at my desk, I am having trouble focusing on work as images and memories are conjured up from 30 years of Lakers basketball...
Got into the office early today, decked out head-to-toe in Laker gear. Custom sneakers, Mamba jersey, and everything in between. Game day, baby. Let's go.
Wow makes me realize no one’s even been putting Lakers flags on their cars for this championship run.
HA! Lot better than, I just want to win, please. Morton’s steak and lobster tonight in DOOM!! Please... I hope we have Doom and not WMC fest.
just keep butler from getting to the basket as he pleases and come out firing from all angles. there's your recipe for success just close this f*cking thing out tonight
Yup. The lack of flags around LA has been a little disappointing. Remember during the 08-10 run you see purple/gold/white/black all over town.
I just chalk that up to the deadly global pandemic going on. Not a lot of people are gonna go into novelty stores and gas stations to buy cheap trinkets right now. We're sheltering in place, and showing our Laker pride in place.
Yeah, I’ve heard some journalists on Twitter talking about how disappointing it is that LA doesn’t have the same electricity in the air as previous championship runs. I mean there’s a reason for that, but also I don’t know how true it even is. Sure people aren’t putting up flags or crowding the bar scene during games. But personally, and every Laker fan I’ve talked to, even though we’re mostly cooped up at home there’s still a tangible excitement in the air about the possibility of #17. The emotional stakes of this title for the fanbase and the city may actually be higher than they’ve ever been.
