Every single one of them have had an impact in every series.

Dwight against Portland and Denver. Morris against Houston and Miami. Rondo ever since he came back. GOAT the entire playoffs.

Give him props for not panicking and giving up the farm for Marcus Morris and instead getting his brother Markieff who has arguably been better than Marcus in the playoffs and costs way less than him. With that said, Markieff may be looking at a pay day this summer.

yes props n apologies from me with doubts on him.....I find it hilarious ESPN still engages Magic on their panel as a "analyst/expert" on all things Lakers

You don't think his expert takes on Twitter are scintillating?

This really pisses me off, what a joke with Lawrence Frank at all, let alone by overwhelming margin and the anti Lakers narrative continuing with Rob getting virtually no recognition, even as we went wire to wire for a (expected Friday) championship.

i mean, he pulled off the big offseason coup and snapped up a bunch of names at the deadline/waiver season, so whatever. presti basically kept his team the same and added draft picks, more of a "good recovery" than an expertly crafted and executed plan.

riley got jimmy butler with zero cap space, which is pretty impressive.

but wtf did memphis and milwaukee do? mil let brogdon walk and paid george hill instead. way to go, fellas. memphis...drafted morant 2nd overall (a total no-brainer) and....employed a surprising coach? if they wanted the memphis guy to get some COY votes, i'm listening. but executive?

The hatred and jealousy are for real. Just go back to Dan Gilbert and other owners whining to David Stern and making him cancel our trade for Chris Paul for "basketball reasons." They can't stand our dominance.

Meanwhile the media just loved to jump on us last summer when Magic quit and backstabbed us. When Lue refused us they piled on even higher. When snake Leonard used us for leverage they had a complete field day.

And yet look who completed our roster on the fly after all that smack. Rob did a phenomenal job. The Lakers FO said "No more talking to the media, we're just going to win and let our record do the talking." They accomplished all they set out to do in that regard. They compiled the best record in the West, they dominated the playoffs thus far to make the Finals, and are one win away from bringing championship no. 17 back home as the great Jerry Buss always wanted. Unbelievably fantastic.

Let's get this done and rejoice. But yeah, Rob should be exec of the year with the job he did. Again, though, all individual accolades are secondary to the real prize - the O'Brien trophy.

I am waiting for them to change the narrative in hindsight: "the Lakers were always supposed to win".

Yep, no question. Just like it turned into "Lebron has his easiest path to the Finals" narrative after the Slippers pulled their usual slippage.

i'm still tripping on how we went from "don't have enough to get AD" to "overpaid for AD" in a matter of minutes.

Remember how we weren't supposed to get out of the first round in the West, and now apparently it is too easy.

I am sure the offseason will be filled with "But Golden State and the Nets had injuries..".

At least we can hear a little less about how amazing Danny Ainge is with all his assets, and he controls the future of the NBA with a future dynasty on the way....

Screw the voters in whatever category and the media with whatever narrative they want to write. Don't care about both factions. The Larry O'Brien trophy is our big middle finger response to all of them.

I don’t know why this pisses me off so much but it does. Clippers still clipping with no assets and still didn’t get out of the second round but sure, let’s give them every award we can think of.
