Lebron is assisting the Finals MVP to AD the way Magic used to assist all stars at the all star game their MVPs.

    Ex: Johnson -> Sampson, Chambers.

At this point in his career...James is more into winning the hardware even if he did have a justified snit over the MVP race regarding the number of votes he received.

Not really , this game showed we struggle without his scoring .

Bron wanted to close the Heat out and failed in his game .

    This is my lecture

    Game 1: AD
    Game 2: Tied
Game 3: Both sucked. Butler was Finals MVP here.
    Game 4: Bron

It's a tie for me but we all know the story with LeBron winning it is instant ratings and attention for sports media so it's going to LeBron unless AD comes out with a 50 piece to close it out.

hopefully AD and King keep their eye on the prize, not some silly little award that Cedric Maxwell and Iggy won

A split would be nice. So far it's going to Bron.

LeBron averaging 28-11-9 and AD is at 25-9-4..it's going to LeBron at this very moment based on the stats butttt I think AD should be MVP for defending Butler on one end and having to hit big shots on the other end and still put up 20+

I got Bron ahead, but AD's defense is being overlooked.

I agree, LeBron always has flashy numbers, but ADs defense is a step above his. I wish for them to both win it, they both deserve it. However, we probably care more then them. Let's just get #17

Unless AD has a monster game and the media people actually value defense, I think it's going to Bron.

Sigh. AD's defense has been destructive to Miami all series. When the refs took AD out in a game 3, no one could stop anyone.

Stop looking at offensive stats. AD's defense has been legendary. He's guarding 2 and 3 people in a single possession several times during a game.

With that, if there ever was to be a co mvp, its this year. They are as equally important as any dual threat ever.

They did vote Iggy FMVP once upon a time and if I remember correctly it was in part for his defense on Lebron.

If there was ever a time to have your first Co-FMVP I think it should be this year. AD is killing it defensively but Lebron is doing better offensively. It's balanced pretty well right now.

Defense wins championships, offense wins MVP and other awards. It's the way it has probably always been, and even more do since "experts" are voting on the awards.

I mean, it's not like LeBron's defense has been bad, either. It's just AD is the one driving the defense and LeBron is handling the offense.
