In fairness to Wheelchair P he was right. The Lakers can't beat the Paperclips in a 7 game series. How can they when the CLippers only make it to the 2nd floor and never reach the "Boss" level of the game? Boss can't beat yo a** if you don't make it his floor. At least the Clips and Bucks have that Paper E-Wins Championship to carry around.

Karachi, that’s exactly how I felt watching most of these. I was almost PTSDing, but taken together, they’re more comical how willing everyone was to follow each other’s prophesies.

The most arrogant, condescending, and therefore satisfying clip was Windhorst and that blonde lady just matter of factory absolutely anointing the slips. They were so certain. Love it

Funny bits from a recent SI write-up:

-Lakers were the better team and could prove it whenever they wanted, using that old basketball play: Give Ball To Tall Man.

    His name is Anthony Davis...

-There were times when Davis could eat a bowl of soup off the head of whoever was guarding him

    Campbell's Chunky?

-At one point, Butler drove into the paint but was surrounded by taller players, and then Crowder drove and found that those players had not shrunk, and then Butler drove to and got caught in the forest again.

    Anyone have a compass?

-Also, if you find yourself in a situation where Duncan Robinson is guarding LeBron James, start drinking.

Beer, whisky, vodka, tequila... So many choices.

Can anyone remember any sports analyst/talking heads from one of these shows that picked the Lakers to win it all when the season started? like from the get go?

I’m trying to remember, but drawing a blank. I can’t even remember if Shannon Sharp called the Lakers as his favorite to win the championship.

He doesn't count. He has his head up Lebron a** 24/7. Amazing feat considering his nose is shaped like a dildo.

Another fan base that is insufferable with their nonstop complaining about refs. There’s MIA tinted glasses and then there is Stevie Wonder blindness. They were saying we were always flopping and we glad when AC and Davis looked hurt. These guys can piss off as far as I’m concerned.

    He dropped alright, down 3-1.

Well you woke up on the WRONG side of the bed.

Forget it, it will just bring you heartache.

The Heat is certainly on....your team.

Good you can clean up the bubble hotel rooms after we send you packing.

    Miami fan, meet mirror.

She knows a fake hero when she sees one.

Its Taco Tuesday and no, Tyler is not invited.

You mean the guy who won the game for us?

The basketball gods had headphones on while blasting “We love LA”, so they didn’t hear you.

The way Heat fans talk about him, I thought he was already in the hall of fame.

Because coffee is for closers and Jimmy’s stand is about to be closed down.

I’d be quiet as a church mouse then.

Does this guy know what the term sweep means?

They were so mean to my Eagle in their game thread. I want us to bury them next game.

    Guess he’s not snarling anymore.

No what’s really incredible is your Fanbase complaining nonstop when we had all of something like five free throws in
30 minutes. Get a freaking grip.

I think Doc Rivers is available to give speeches. He’s really good at motivating people to win lol.

I was much happier when your fan base was just glad to be here too. Now you’re whining bunch of wusses.

Sorry out of change, dollar bills only.

So you’ll know in advance you lost before you actually see it. Win, win.

How’d that turn out for you?

    Yes but could JFK dunk?

Something the Lakers get when they really need them.

    NO, you can’t.

    No rebounds, no rings.

    No more surprised then me.

Davis with the dagger but KCP was great.

No he would have missed those shots if he was Westbrook.

Wonderful cook Cookie! If I wasn’t on a phone I would have reposted a bunch of my favorites but will just go with one of the first ....

“KCP is gonna go cold soon. I pray.”

The basketball gods had headphones on while blasting “We love LA”, so they didn’t hear you.

i like to check in on the boston homers and other laker haters at the ringer sometimes. here's the latest passive aggressive swipe:

i'm sorry that the lakers just need a ho-hum half from their two stars while your beloved C Bags needed a full-on effort from your "stars" to get waxed by the same team.

he used to suck, like the C Bags used to be good once--when me granpappy weres a whippersnapper.

as opposed to the tunnel your C Bags burrowed into when they saw the miami heat bar. enjoy paying kemba and gordon 60 million per to keep digging.

had to include at least one fact, but still trying to suggest that some other team (perhaps the one that this very same team just stomped on?) might fare better.

actual fact without passive aggression. kudos, haley. good thing you guys kept tatum out of trade conversations, though, right?

lebron's bigger than the C Bags' front line players, too, haley. just be glad you're not watching the series you wanted. i don't think you could muster the snark through all the tears.

anyway, if the lakers take it in five, maybe you can throw a few "alex caruso is bald" jokes in there to help lick the wounds.

Good. Good. Let the Laker hate flow through you.......You do not have to compliment the Lakers but passive and back handed comments always make you look like a b****. Just like your team. They've won one title in 34 years, it's not the Lakers fault your overrated GM and organization, whom choked more in the playoffs than any team this century, won it's only title because they were gifted KG by a former player.

Whining that the Lakers are about to tie the mark at 17, marginalizing the 5 in Minneapolis with that. Let's be real. The last 50 years, the Lakers have owned the NBA. The Last 40 years, the Lakers have dominated the NBA. And the last 20 years, even with the drought that took a spineless piece of s*** commissioner to stop the Lakers because the other 29 teams couldn't, they are about to win their 6th World Championship.

You enjoy the top spot for 50 years, green turds, now, the Lakers will take their rightful spot right next to you on paper for title wins, but the reality is, the Lakers are a few levels above you and once they get 18, you will be looking at the bottom of their behind from then on.
