the truth is somewhere between, as always. capela was always a serviceable starting center if you could play 4 out on offense and wanted to push the pace. when houston started playing slower, his lack of size became more of an issue on defense and the boards.

atlanta may have trouble because collins isn't a great shooter and both guys want to rim run on most possessions. also, both are undersized at their spots. my prediction is that it won't work, but we'll see. if i were playing them, i might play something akin to a triangle and two on defense.

well said. I think that triangle and 2 could work. it will also be interesting to see clint on a team not named the rockets. he was hurt last season as well so there are some definite question marks. I think the hawks have some potential though.

I was mocking this idiot, he actually said that, minus the “pure” part, my memory was faulty on that, starts around the 50 second mark

Also, is that a pumpkin as your avatar? Been meaning to ask for years.

IF we could match Wiggins salary with Green, Mcgee, Cook and other fillers, would you guys be in favor of taking Wiggins if it mean getting say Minns future 1st that gsw got for the dlo trade and say maybe a future GSW 1st? It would for sure kill our 21' FA plans tho n Im not gona lie and say we can salvage Wiggins into playing team winning ball but he is a 3 and hes athletic so his game is just inefficient but he can score

For me, no. He doesn't move the needle. There's other limited players who can score we can rent in friendlier deals. Picks don't mean a lot to me, we went that route, I'm ready to surround AD (and Bron until he retires) with players who are ready to win now.

Someone would need to crunch the numbers on how drunk exactly Sean Marks would have to be to do this. :p Or just how incriminating the photos we had on him would have to be.

stats lie, sorry but it is easy to make stats that only show the good side of anything. Harden is easy to overcome and has been his whole career. He is good when s*** don't matter but when the going gets hard, Harden hardly knows how to get going. Other than leaving the playoffs.

yeah, i prefer proven players over picks. the picks only had value for me to trade for other players.

wiggins wouldn't be my target, but someone like that: younger, probably overpaid, but still a good player. i'd prefer it be a guard, though. would have to scour rosters to see if anyone fits the bill.

    What's Malcom Brogden's situation?

He would be a great Point Guard get for us IMO

Yeah. Oladipo is an unrestricted free agent after next season. Because of Giannis's impending free agency, I can't see us locking up a 3rd player past next season unless it's a legit star, which we don't have the pieces to trade for anyway. Two seasons from now after Lebron retires, we'd have Brogdon and AD taking up a massive portion of our cap. We'd essentially be the Pelicans with Brogdon/AD instead of Holiday/AD. If the Pacers are looking to net something for Oladipo, we would probably roll the dice on that since he's about to come off the books.

Third star needs to be someone who can control the ball and shoot. Goran Dragic is who I want. Lebron could relax all season with Dragic and Rondo during the regular season. And even relax a little in the early rounds in the playoffs.

yeah, and dragic is getting up there. i'm surprised he's held up all playoffs, tbh.

i'm sure we would; he'll get more than that to stay in bkn is my guess. like 1.5X at least. guys with his skillset are uncommon right now.

We could definitely use a shooter like that.
