Perhaps, but I have my doubts. Sure, it could work out great but it will never be a dynamic offense. Would love to see a great PG who can hit 3's at a high clip with regularity. It would open up the middle and the lanes, we would be crazy good.

Harden, Tucker, and House for Embiid and Horford works financially and MDA gets to take his small ball s*** to the Eastern Conference.

don't see how harden and ben simmons are your two stars. simmons needs the ball. it would be like westbrook again. better in that simmons is bigger and defends very well, but still...

embiid for harden is sort of trading the same kind of headache, too. neither are leaders; both care more about themselves than winning. both are kinda lazy and give inconsistent effort, too.

He would probably stagger them a bit to always have someone in there to push the ball. For MDA, Simmons is also playing all 5 positions. I doubt it would be any more successful than it was with Houston, but the Embiid/Simmons pairing isn't working and if you bring in a MDA, Embiid certainly isn't in your plans moving forward.

Yeah, but same with all the big names who could move this summer, they're all moody, damaged goods, or their teams have soured on them. When you have someone making that much money, you don't have a whole lot of options if you want to move on from there. You hope rearranging the deck a little and another man's trash....

Honestly I think a lineup of something like...
    Embiid
    Horford
    Covington
    Gordon
    Westbrook

Is a better balanced team than what they rolled out this post season.

can see harden working with ben, would conserve energy by allowing ben to create for him at times like rondo does for lbj

I think the Rockets wouldn't be happy with that direction shift. I know you want to get value for Harden if you HAVE to trade him, but feel moving from a fundamentalist small ball philosophy to some nebulous default traditional lineup won't fly. Feel like the Rockets ride or die with Harden till the end.

I mean Houston are the Rockets and Harden is the Rocketeer.

Harden in Philly? PLEASE let this happen. The fans will crucify him after yet another playoff choke.

also: morey's ego. the harden trade is his crowning achievement (maybe his only real one, tbh). i would expect him to quit before trading him.

Well, Harden is a better pure scorer than Michael Jordan after all, the numbers don’t lie.

but morey wasn't. of course, he spent years pumping up clint capela only to lowball him in contract negotiations and then trade him and a 1st for robert covington to play center. so...maybe his word...isn't worth much?
