In all seriousness, I do agree. Though if there was something amusing about it, it still kept Lakers front and centre of basketball news, even at the expense of the Warriors :)

Yeah but it was horrible. They were clowning the whole organization and it was Magic's lead that started it.

See look here. I start reading Cookie's doom and right up top their fans are saying this s***. Where the hell did this take come from..... but Magic doing all that national talking dirt about our front office and back stabbing.

"F the Lakers, their fan base and most f all- the system that feeds them all stars despite their front office not knowing their a** from their foot."

Then the media jumped on the Flippers bandwagon, and we just went about our business without much fuss.

Bad game, great win. If only Dwight could play without fouling, we would't have to watch JMG's sorry a** out there LOL.
Also... loving to see Jokic play. Great guy, really easy to root for.
With that being said, LET's GO LAKERS, sweep is more than welcome.

They also passed on Luka because he couldn't jump as fast or as high as "their" guy :D

Anybody catch that the one of the jump shots Jokic "made" late in the 4th was actually a airball?

Nah, it went in, ref and LeBron were both right there, no way they call that good if it wasn’t

I think Denver is goign to take game 3. They're due one - and they're too good of a team to get swept.

I hope I'm wrong...but so far, so good on our end.

I'd like to see more from Kuzma. He hasn't really done much in this series yet.

They were actually talking about this on the Laker Film Room pod after game 1, maybe not specifically Magic, but the way the Lakers kind of zigged when everyone else zagged, something like that. The conversation was essentially about how the FO didn’t follow the trend of small ball and three point shooters only and how it’s paying off because we have such a huge team. Like 1-5 we are bigger and stronger than any team left and we can play inside and out, bully teams with our strength, stuff like that. How there’s so much versatility being able to start McGee, slide AD there when he goes out, bring in Morris, then Dwight, and how even our guards are big, like Green might be the biggest 2 in the league and that’s daunting for teams to face every night. It was a great listen, a lot of stuff I haven’t even thought about that deeply. It’s a good listen, they talk about it from about say they 18 minute mark here through the 27 minute mark.

We missed a lot of shots tonight on good looks though, while our defense just keeps clamping on teams.

i don't think so. i think he helped us get lebron, though, which was obviously huge.

pretty much everything else he did was a total disaster. weird that they focus on rondo, when he was just one of several guys they brought in that liked to handle and couldn't shoot.

i'm always for zigging when they zag, but not when it comes to a basic requirement like shooting the ball. this would be like saying it's brilliant to hire a tailor who can cut but not sew. you don't zag when it's a basic requirement of the system.

with lebron's injury, that was going to be a lost season, but even before that, our lack of shooting doomed us. say what you want about danny green--teams at least tend to guard him out there, and that matters.

magic is also supposedly responsible for the zubac and lou williams trades, which were both bad (and i said so at the time for each).

so yeah, i prefer magic the fan (who still could have recruited lebron in that role). magic the gm was a dumpster fire.

Denver just isn't built to be successful against us. Few are, but we are a terrible matchup for them.

They are referred to as the comeback kids for a reason. They don't quit and I don't believe they're done yet. They're good enough to get 1 this series, especially if we don't take better care of the ball.

Magic did as well .... and I will always give him credit for it .... create the master plan and road map to acquire AD also to pair with LeBron. Thought Big and we are seeing the fruits of that plan in spite of what he did after leaving.

Expecting Nuggets to come out hard next game, we won’t be able to match the energy in the first half. We’ll take it back in the second half though.

Murray played 44 minutes and was a +16. In those 4 other minutes we outscored them by 18. That is damn near impossible.
