Didn't score in the second. Had Murray and Grant looking at license plate 23 as he bowled them over for and ones. Rest and treat that ankle.

Agree with a lot of this, criteria always changing, and the narrative that starts before the season rarely changes. Many picked Giannis to win before the season, and they never got off that. All that said, it’s fine he won, he’s deserving, it’s a regular season award. I think the issue, as someone already stated here, is that the award needs to start being handed out immediately after the season ends, there shouldn’t be any playoffs in our minds, and we shouldn’t be watching the MVP accept the award after being knocked out of the playoffs, it leaves a bad taste.

They could make the MVP criteria really simple and have the voters pick whomever they think is the best player in the league, full stop. Remember all those years when writers would say things like, “Kobe Bryant is clearly the best player in the league, but his team only won 45 games and is entering the playoffs as the 8th seed. Meanwhile Steve Nash makes his teammates better?” It’s silly. And if the MVP is not just going to be an award for the best player in the league, then they should create a new award for that.

I say the Lakers win 1 game in the playoffs for each 1st place vote Lebron received. They’re halfway there.

Greek Freak winning the award was the worst kept secret since the All Star break. Only award we should have won was AD's DPOY.

I'm glad Bron is pissed. Hope he continues to use it as fuel. Finals MVP will mean more anyway. He shouldn't have won the award based on the current voting criteria, but I still think Bron is the best player in the NBA today because of his stats, success, and the defense he played all season. At his age, pretty damn impressive.

He sucked after that great first half: not sure what happened. Hopefully that ankle is not worse then they're letting on
