He scored 30 points though. 30 points! That’s more than LeBron scored, so clearly Harden is better.

LMAO what a friggin’ clown. I do not miss the ‘Antoni post game interviews after losses with his self-depreciating “aw shucks” humor.

No, it doesn’t work. It worked for the Warriors one time, but they also had decent actual bigs, and then they lost and added Durant, who is not small in the least and even if you count that of course you can win with “small ball” played by 4 all-stars. And when is that ever going to happen again.

We downsized, but even then it was not really small. With AD, 6'10 playing at center, or even with Keef at 5 in our "micro" lineup, we still had Lebron out there who is 6'9, and Kuz who is 6'8. Rockets were playing a 5 man lineup where everyone was 6'5 or shorter, especially when Covington and Green were out.

    They exceeded my expectations.

Placing Morris in the starting lineup changed the series.

Some of our best 5 man units included Kieff.

And great job by Rob; he killed the buyout market with this signing.

Harden said he still believes in the Rockets and that they are one piece away. The only problem is that one piece he is referring to is LeBron James

Kuz is 6’10” or closer to it than 6’8” .... helping your point even more.

Why would you not want Clippers vs Lakers? Why would you not want Lakers vs C Bags? Beating the Clippers and the C Bags to win a title is a hell of a lot sweeter then beating Jokic and the Nuggets and Jimmy Butler and the Heat.

Think about how great Kobe's title win in 2009 had been had he beat Lebron and the Cavs? I know a title is a title but I dont even think about the 2009 title because it was Orlando. No one gives a crap about Orlando.

yeah, while the 09 title was awesome as hell since it had felt like forever since they'd won one (only 7 years lol) it wasn't very satisfying because they hadn't gotten their revenge against boston

James Harden James Harden, you fell from
"pre-eminent NBA all-time scorer" to an abandoned lady garden.

Strong close out today. We started 100 mph. Endured what felt like a three minute run in the 2nd quarter and essentially entered garbage time early in the third quarter. Rockets could do nothing. Even Rondo's brother Will i am scored on Russ sending him into a petulant rage.

Loved seeing the open threes go in. Loved seeing Howard and McGee get a bit of time on the court and appreciate their maturity and sacrifice. Feel THT can get us a handful of meaningful points and hope we can keep him with us next year.

That was a thing of beauty. My new favorite win of the season over Game three of this series which was my previous fave. Nothing like a good old close out in dominant fashion. Feels so good.

I don't think Lakers are getting enough credit - we had some crazy talk from A LOT of folks about the Rockets beating us or making this a series...now that we completed the gentlemen's sweep, the tone has shifted to "oh well this was expected". Typical from the media...

They hyped both the Blazers and Rockets and we cleaned them both up in 5. Let's not forget that the BLAZERS were the HOTTEST TEAM coming into the playoffs, and the Rockets were supposed to be a real threat to us because....they beat us in the regular season?

Make no mistake about it - both Blazers and Rockets are better teams than the Mavs (without KP) and Nuggets.

The Lakers run to the title will not be easy as it could end up being Blazers, Rockets, Clippers and C Bags. What an EPIC run that would be if we beat all these teams

Have there been any Bill Simmons sightings in the playoffs about us yet? His sphincter must be puckering at least a little by now at the thought.

Remember when Portland was “the best 8th seed of all time!”? I do, funny stuff. Now “the Rockets never had a chance”, the media is so predictable. I look forward to some creative excuses if we beat the Clippers, “well, Kawhi’s leg is technically made of petrified wood”. :wasntme:

 A little bit late to hold teammates accountable AFTER you’ve lost the series.

The funny thing is that Phony and the Rockets chose these match up. They did not want to face the Clips early and tried there hardest to get in our bracket.

again: the rockets have incredibly selfish people in key spots in the organization. harden only cares about his stats. morey only cares about his stature. and dantoni only cares about vindication for his philosophy. each has bought into his own hype, and it hurts the organization, deliciously.

guys like tucker and covington (like ariza, paul and others before them) can only stomach so much of this garbage, so they have to churn the roster constantly around harden.

yeah, people claiming the warriors proved dantoni correct had no idea what they were talking about. the early versions of the warriors played bogut at the 5. moreover, they played an egalitarian offense predicated on ball and player movement--something dantoni has NEVER done. also, they cared about defending--something dantoni has NEVER done.

oh, and regarding the "body language" stuff after game 4: how many years of harden-"led" teams have to go through this before people understand the source of houston's "always quit" mentality?

if only we'd traded kuzma for marcus morris like the smart guys across the hall...
