Spoiler Would have been awesome if like Ray Stantz, Tony accidentally thought of the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man right as he snapped.
Saw it last week, but the theater was evacuated when someone hit the fire alarm. Theater couldn’t shut it off, so the FD had to show up. Was about 100 minutes in. Saw it today in toto. I think the first 90 minutes is slow and overkill at some point. But the second half was excellent. Spoilery post later.
Overall, worth watching? I don't keep up with every Marvel film, though, and I've heard you should if you want to follow properly!
This is hilarious. I don’t know if it’s being clueless on the part of the actors because it’s just a job to them, or if it’s that there’s so many damn Marvel movies.
Saw Spider-Man today and I enjoyed it a lot. The only thing that was kind of meh for me was Gyllenhaal - I expected better but he wasn't bad either. When I was a kid there were only very few American comics available in Poland. Spider-Man was the first one I could buy regularly (it was published monthly) and I grew up a fan, he has always been my favorite comic book character. Tom Holland is the first actor I can fully get behind, he's perfect for that role and only confirmed it in that movie again. I love the most of the rest of the cast too BTW. I can't wait to see where they'll go now. Will they assemble a new cast of Avengers? Who else is going to be on it? This version of Spider-Man is definitely a great way to start off.
That's not being clueless. They often film multiple scenes out of sequence and based on actors availability. In MCU, they may even use them for different movies, so Paltrow may have not known (and wasn't told, as it is a spoiler) which movie it was.
Hey alam! Forgot to respond to this. I thought it was a masterpiece. The way they wove the entirety of the previous 20 some odd movies into one was nothing short of amazing. The Russo Brothers deserve so much credit for their writing ability. I thought the emotional moments were tremendous, the action was by far the greatest representation of comic book movies we've ever seen, and the actors gave great performances. I know there were a couple minor plot holes, but it didn't bother me in the slightest. That 3rd act was every comic book fan's dream. Visually stunning and the most fun I've had in a movie in a long, long time.
Thoughts? I’m excited for it, I don’t care that it’s a very overdue movie and therefore a prequel now. I think once it’s out it will slide right in wherever it takes place in the timeline, and to me she absolutely deserved and needed her own movie.
It will be interesting to see how they make a movie without powers. I guess Winter Soldier would be the closest thing to it as it was just a couple guys with above average strength. Looking forward to it. But you're right. It was long overdue.
I liked it, will probably go to the cinema to watch it. I agree it's way overdye, Scarlet has been great as Black Widow IMO.
