...they better had taken note of how the Mavs won today against those clowns across the hall and not extend our series with Portlandia (kudos to @lakerjones).

I don't think Lillard will be playing Game 5 or they'll just gambling with a more severe injury, he's out of gas and looks like Kobe before the Achilles tear on that stupid Damphony offense...

They are done. Even with a last gasp next game, it's still over. Hope Dame is all right. Shame to see him go down with injuries.

When asked who we wanted in the 1st round, I was pretty confident Portland was never a real threat. They were however the perfect opponent for sharpening the Lakers collective knives.

-Lethal offense forcing us to get sharper on defense... check.

-Poor defense, allowing us to get our confidence and rhythm up with wider open shots than we will have in any up coming series... check.

This is what this Lakers team looked like before the shutdown... thanks Portland... now have a nice time fishing

The way we have chased Dame and CJ off the 3 point line, and funneled them to our shot blocking bigs has been a thing of beauty. Great strategy.

Can't wait to see the adjusents Vogel makes in the second round. Especially if it's against the Rockets.

The adjustments we made after game 1 is what I expected from an elite team, but we need to finish this on Wednesday and go for the jugular.

It turns out you and Karacha were right Barns and I’m glad to be wrong! They did turn out to be a good first round opponent for those reasons. I was very concerned going in and I think if they had been healthier (McCollum, Collins and Dame) I do think they would have forced a game 6. But the best thing is as you said the competition factor going up against them woke us the heck up and after that atrocious game 1 they had our full attention. Again, never happier to be wrong.

I'm glad to be wrong too, and I'm retiring from the prediction business.

You and I both mentioned this before and I think your breakdown here is spot on. This was a great wakeup call, and it certainly helped Green and KCP. If those guys can hit open shots, we can win it all.

Dame is my favorite player in the league not wearing P&G. I would have loved to see him with a full tank this series, but, yeah, he is cooked.

Yea I hope Dame is ok. He wrote a rap song dedicated to Kobe as part of the 2K21 soundtrack. Here is a preview:

or he'll end up getting dumped like IT did with the C Bags....put everything on the line then they trade you off once they used you up. Always felt bad for that dude....he never fully recovered after.

I really hope we don't lay an egg in game 5 and instead take our opponent seriously. Just come out guns blazing again, run up the score in the first half and rest AD and Lebron afterwards.
