the blazers suck defensively but this team struggles like hell when it comes to guarding opposing backcourts

Portland has to beat the Grizz once, so, let's see how they do.

Just occurred to me Dwight Howard will be playing in consecutive Laker playoff games, over 7 years apart. Wild.

I'm not worried at all about a team which will be forced to guard Lebron with midgets like Lillard , McCollum and Trent JR on switches .

is lebron going to start posting up? are we going to sit our centers so that they can't just clog the paint with a second defender? i doubt either, so no, i'd prefer not to play portland--or any high octane offense that is guard-driven.

we have a lot more talent than them; it's just a weird matchup. our offense has been so bad during the restart that i worry about playing anyone who can score a lot.

i'd love to see a team try to slug it out with us, though, which is sort of memphis's only option. morant can't score 60 by bombing from the logo, for which there is absolutely no defense.

I don't want any part of Portland because of mainly Dame. He has a history of killing us with his scoring and shooting. In addition, I have little confidence that our guard rotation can contain or slow him down.

Dame is in a killer zone right now. This might be like Kobe vs the Suns where he almost beat them by himself.

Offense looked fine in our latest 3 games .

Portland defense is so bad it needed an incredible stretch from Lillard and a favorable whistle ( he's not getting these calls against us) to barely beat the Mavs , Nets and Sixers .

We destroyed them in the regular season minus the "Kobe" game .

Blazers will get one game but that's it

The Suns played no defense. We have one of the best defenses in the league. Dame will probably get his, but they have no wing defenders and don't defend well do begin with. We just need to take them seriously and we'll win. They are perfectly capable of winning some games against us, for sure, but ultimately we should advance.

Well this will give Popovich the chance to create a committee he's always wanted to create.

We HAD one of the best defenses. I think it's hard to say that right now. But I'm only box score watching

When we play the "real" rotation our defense is mostly great, still. It's the 3-pt shooting that was a real problem, but it's already a bit better. We should be able to defend the Blazers pretty well. Except Dame when he goes beast mode; but there's nothing you can do about that in general.

I understand that not a lot of people cares about soccer here, but Bayern just literally destroyed Barcelona 8-2 in playoffs.Hopefully Lakers will do same to Portland .

I have seen that picture and I do know what soccer is, I just never watch it. The reason I like basketball so much is because it’s a high scoring game. I’m a little ADD and lose interest quickly if people just run up and down the field and the score remains the same.
