Why is it so hard for people to realize these people would rather die, doing what they want, than live in fear???

Ah, so you admit this is a deadly virus. And people such as yourself (presumably) are okay with “doing what you want” even if it means contributing to the deaths of OTHERS. I respect your transparency.

Yes, it is a deadly virus. On par with Tuberculosis, the Flu, the seasonal Cold, and a gazillion other diseases that kill people. Where was your mask during flu season? I guarantee you would have worn it if your media told you to. Thanks for your transparency.

If this is even remotely comparable to the flu, why is the majority of the worlds economies and multi billion dollar entities (NBA, MLB, olympics, airlines, etc) willing to lose billions by taking COVID seriously? We all know money is the most influential thing in the world. If it really was like the flu, wouldn’t they all say “F*** you, this is just like the flu, we’re not losing billions!” Did the media trick them all? Is big pharma going to reimburse their losses for being complicit with their scam once they sell their vaccine?
I’m genuinely asking btw. I’m a very skeptical person and very unsheep like by personality. I was always the annoying kid challenging the teacher. I have family in the medical field and friends in the ER, so I know COVID is very very real, but my biggest question is the one above about money.

Some kill more than others. Tuberculosis kills 1.5 million annually. https://www.tballiance.org/why-new-tb-drugs/global-pandemic

681,000 have died from Covid (to include those on a motorcycle, car accident, cancer, etc). https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/coronavirus-death-toll/

Are people dying? Of course. Mostly those with underlying issues (Diabetes 2, lung issues, etc). Do I want them to die? Of course not! Just like I don't want people to die of cancer, TB, auto accidents, etc. But I also realize people will die. Every day. All of use eventually.

So why is this different? 1.5 million died last year from TB. We didn't shut down economies. We didn't force people to miss funerals (well, Republicans at least).

    Why is this different?

That’s my question too. It must be different, right? Billionaires aren’t dumb and they won’t let anything come between their money, unless this is a Legit global crisis. That’s my reasoning anyway.

Not sure what the global situation is, but there were 515 tuberculosis deaths in the US in 2017.

There were 1249 Covid deaths in the US yesterday.

Why would the CEO and the Chief Medical Officer of Moderna be selling off their shares when the final vaccine trials haven't even been completed yet?

Yeah there's a vote of confidence for you. If these weren't scheduled sales.

New York will never be the same again. The work-from-home aspect of this pandemic that will cause companies to rethink their strategies going forward will hit Manhattan ridiculously hard. All those commercial buildings? Who is going to take up that space with everyone realizing they don't need to spend 50k a month to have an office since productivity hasn't really dipped for most companies? And who would want to live in Manhattan stacked on top of each other paying 100k a year for a cracker box apartment if they don't need to be there for work? I have no idea what New York will look like in 5 years. It may be a ghost town.

Yikes. And wait until all the moratoriums on evictions are exhausted in housing and rental markets. This virus has wrecked the economy and is just getting started.
