well the new arena is scheduled to open in 2024 so who knows if kawhi/PG will still be clippers by then they could be back in the cellar by the time they move in there which would be hilarious
400 million for a really old venue no longer fit for basketball games, but it's ok for concerts? Seems like a poor investment to me. But so does buying the Clippers. That guy Balmer might just be loco
No offense but who gives a craap about the Forum? Come on, if the Lakers would have really wanted it, they could have bought it a long time ago. One thing I have learned in my life is sometimes you just gotta move on!!! Let it frigging go man. Inglewood sucks anyhow!! Blech, glad the Lakers moved out of there. One of the few places in CA I have ever been where I felt concerned for my safety just stopping to get gas.
Well damn, I'm a fat Irishman and it makes me upset but it's still the truth. Staples blows the Forum away!! Nostalgia is for the Byrds!
in all honesty, the only thing that connects the lakers to the forum now is the actual building itself. if you didn't follow basketball and went in there today you would have no idea the lakers ever played there. they removed the old orange seats and the lakers banners/retired numbers and redid the roof. i really like the forum as a concert venue so i would hate if they tore it down simply based off that the only lakers-related thing is the street behind it named after kareem
I don't want anyone to get the Corona virus but if someone on the Clippers has it, I certainly have some preferences.
What I liked about this game is we played without our best outside defender and a number of our guys had very off games, Lebron, Green and Howard. Nobody shot well, except maybe Kuzma and we found a way to win, LBJ and AD combined for 14/38 from the field. WE STILL WON!!! This while George and KL both had solid games, shooting a combined 18 out of 33. We kind of dodged a bullet but that was nice to see.
The Morris for Harkless swap was a horrible move for the tenants and we can count on Cry me a river to play him meaningful minutes .
Fantastic win. I love the fact that even though it wasn't a MUST type win it still made a statement and it destroyed any fantasies of the Clippers magically climbing back to threaten our first place finish in the West. They are 6 1/2 back with 7 games to play. Boom!!
What I noticed last night, with all the praise the Clippers get defensively, that there are three guys we have that they have no answer for. AD, Lebron and Kuzma. The Harkless trade royally bit them in the backside. He was the one guy who kept gimpy Kawhi fresh splitting time guarding Lebron. Say what you want, but no way can Kawhi survive Lebron bullyball during the course of a grueling 7 game series.
im still concerned with the team ability to defend lou n pg13....with LeBron on leonard, pg absolutely lights up just about everyone we throw at him beside james
