I get NBAHD, which I assume is the HD version of NBATV.

I watched some of the Clippers/Magic scrimmage and the lack of a crowd didn’t feel nearly as strange as I thought it would. The hanging NBA banners are noisy enough that it doesn’t feel like an empty arena, and the handful of people sitting below them go a long way. Felt like real basketball.

I agree, this is pretty decent actually. Better than expected.

Watching the Clippers vs Magic scrimmage game. Enjoying seeing NBA basketball again.
    Impressions.

Orlando does well with the talent they have, Steve Clifford has done well, glad he left to pursue a head coaching job as he never would have had that chance here.

LA Clippers looked like they are easing into playing again but the class is there.
George's talent, Lou Williams is a human bucket (really would have liked him on the Lakers so I could cheer for him), the Clippers have some good players who can shoot threes, feel Reggie Jackson can push the pace but is not a great play maker.

George and Leonard are starting that resting thing already. Probably wise but I can't help seeing it as weak.

We have a definite advantage in our bigs with Zubac and Montrezl being sidelined. Noah looks like how you would expect, I think he is cooked. Not the Chicago Noah. Glad we have Dwight. I think Noah's go to move will be bad body language and the technical foul.

I feel like these games will still be tense and exciting for me. I will certainly make enough noise when watching important games.

I think the commentator may be a little bit in love with Paul George, not that there is anything wrong with that, but I don't think it is professional.

I was shocked how much like real basketball this felt. The typical arena noises being played and the announcer talking non-stop likely helped. It sort of had like a FIBA/Olympic games feel to it though for me though, if that makes any sense, probably because it’s so late in summer and because it felt kind of far away/not typical. Hard to explain what I mean, it’s basketball, but it’s got a different feel. I’m thinking that changes when it’s the Lakers though and not a team I couldn’t give less of a crap about in the Magic, and a team I hate in the Floppers.

^ Yea I was just about to bring up USA Basketball. So far these games kind of have that feel. Typically the olympic games have quieter crowds so you can hear more things on the court and it doesn't seem like a lot of people are at the game. I'm just happy NBA basketball is back.

Kawhi did not look good at all. He was struggling to get up and down the court for some reason. PG looked great though.

Watching they NOP/BKN game & they didn't have the announcers or crowd noise going at the beginning & it was strange for sure.
I think someone just forgot to flip a switch. As soon as they got the audio worked out, it felt much more like regular BBall.
Not sure what Brooklyn is doing in the bubble though. Seems pointless.

    Really? This is promising!

Really again. This is even more promising and directors are just starting to figure it out what will work best for impact with camera crews with basically empty arenas. I'm guessing we will have a little more "mustard" on the camera moves and angles and tighter shots being instructed to most of the camera positions. Many angles with great, fast lenses and s.o.t.a. cameras everywhere ..... sharp on the players and backgrounds more blurred than what we normally see with people in stands needing to be sharp. And more of the overhead guy wired trucking cameras with zooms used. TONS of replays with angles we typically don't get.

LMAO. This is where we screwed the pooch. Coulda had Noah. We're a small team without him.

It is NBA protocol for any player and has nothing to do with Zion

ESPN's Malika Andrews explained on The Jump Friday, if a player leaves with an excused absence for less than seven days and returns with a negative test, they would need to quarantine for four days
before joining the rest of their team.

If a player leaves due to an unexcused absence, he will be forced to quarantine for at least 10 days regardless of his test result.

Seems like they're messing around with the audio during these scrimmages to see what feels best.
Watching a little bit of the BOS/OKC game & they're not adding any crowd noise or arena music, etc.
Just the announcers & live production audio.. Feels really flat. I must say I prefer a bit of the added audio, as long as it's not overdone. Otherwise it just feels like watching practice.
