Pretty tough schedule but we only need three wins to clinch to the top West seed. Or of course some losses from the Clips/Denver. I don't think either of those teams win all of their 8 remaining games.

The way I think of it is... would you rather have JR Smith, Allen Crabbe, or nobody?

Jaimie Maggio is doing evening sports news on CBS locally now. At least on the weekend but maybe during the week as well, not sure. Good for her. On Sunday tonight she brought up Rudy Gobert and he hasn’t got his sense of smell back yet all the way or much at all .... one of them. Damn it’s been 3 months.

Notice: You need to put any cursing on Lakersball in spoiler tags. That includes quoting tweets with visible curses on the screen.

This site needs to be work friendly, so people can brows at work without worrying their boss seeing cursing on the screen and they get in trouble.

This is not a warning to Kuzmoball, but a reminder to everyone, we will start being more strict with this rule.

How careful and mindful with the masks and other defensive behaviors was he? With this NBA re-start coming up. Only he really knows.

Can someone please translate Woj's mealy-mouthed tweet for me? I assume he means that people WHO WERE SUPPOSED TO TRAVEL to Orlando tested positive, and not that they tested positive after traveling, yes?

Players had to inform teams if they weren't going to play by the 24th. That's why we know Avery won't play. If Dwight wasn't going to play, he would have told the team by now.

Now that he is free of da Corona we can have Rudy Gobert acting as the safety officer for the NBA in Orlando. Mic check 1,2,3.

I heard the MLB has some sort of clause in place on their restart that if a bunch of top flight players go down, they will call the season due to competitive integrity. I wonder if the NBA has some sort of similar clause. If only 5% of the players go down, you can probably keep going. But what if through bad luck the 5% happens to include Lebron, Kawhi, Giannis, Harden, Jimmy Butler, AD and PG? That sort of ruins the integrity of the league. How can you honestly crown a champion when all the best players are sitting there, probably not showing any symptoms, but can't leave their room?

We'll need Dwight. Losing AB is not a huge deal, because we do have the players who can do some of what he does for us, and they need minutes too. But if we want to have a chance of winning it all, we can't just rely on McGee and Davis.

Yeah we do. Is there any chance with 4 extra months of rehab Demarcus might be able to play now safely if it came down to it? Would he still hold out for us or go to anyone (Clippers [choke] ) no strings attached here?

this won't be a popular opinion, but i already feel like it's kind of a joke. i honestly don't care who wins and don't think they should be playing. so many folks' minds (and sometimes physical bodies) will be elsewhere. it's not at all organic. teams that planned for a typical season will be punished while teams like say, houston--who run their guys into the ground every year against common sense--will be rewarded by a random 3 month break just before the playoffs. teams that don't rely on continuity, read: teams who play ugly basketball (again, looking at you, houston) will also benefit from the long layoff/short ramp up. guessing guys will get hurt in ways that wouldn't have happened otherwise, too--again, this is not how things typically work, and these guys are pretty finely tuned machines at the top level.

so yeah, meh. call me next year.

oh, and the shameless promotion of the pelicans is pretty lame, too. the grizzlies were a better team for 75% of the season, were a surprise, and are equally young and fun, if not moreso. yet it's quite clear the nba REALLY wants them to fall out so that we can watch zion bounce guys around in the paint.

I assumed the Clippers picking up Noah meant they weren't getting Boogie for one reason or another.
