Knew it. Should have rested both Bron and AD.
Also, stop babying Waiters. Throw him out there and see what he got.

Not having Dwight on the boards hurt.

NJ seemed quicker and dug in more as the game went on.
The dreaded trap game strikes again.

I said I wouldn't complain as long as we beat the big teams during this stretch... so I won't.

They will be a big team next season though unless KD drastically goes downhill

Well at very least KD won’t be quite as good as he once was and will be 2 years older than his last time on the court by the time of the playoffs and Irving isn’t exactly an iron man. But sure they’ll be better than this year.

Well, they're human after all. As mentioned, big time trap game after a glorious showing this past weekend. Sadly it was indeed a predictable loss. No Dwight Howard hurt in this one for sure. We needed his energy badly and his size.

Let's get back on track for the upcoming schedule.

I agree - that was a definition of a trap game. Which is OK, no matter how good you are you are going to lose some. I'd rather lose against the Nets and take the previous three victories against contenders.

a loss against houston after blowing a gimme at home would basically negate the two big wins, imo.

the key is keeping the 1 seed and staying healthy. doesn't matter who the wins come against.

I have to disagree. The wins this weekend against our toughest opponents in the league mattered a great deal more IMO than a trap game against an opponent we won’t see in the playoffs in the Nets and a team we have beaten already in the Rockets who are currently struggling. The Bucks victory was gigantic for our confidence and showed that we could beat the best in the league. The Clippers was so big because we hadn’t beaten them in the previous two tries and by winning we set them back a full game behind us.

Reporting with @ZachLowe_NBA: Consensus among owners on Board of Governors call with league office was either continue season with no fans in arenas -- or have NBA take a hiatus for a period time. NBA is expected to have a decision as soon as Thursday on next steps.
