well, the short version is that defense is played by five guys, and lebron can find the one that isn't playing it. weird part is that we don't do this against houston with any success, though maybe our problems there lie in stopping them moreso than scoring on them.

the first solution (sit williams) isn't ideal for several reasons, imo. can reggie develop the pick and roll mind meld with harrell in 20 games? is he that much better on d? shamet's not much better on that end, either, and is far less effective as a ballhandler/initiator.

the second solution seemed to be...get better. and that can certainly happen. and they've seen this strategy now. but who knows if this is the only one?

i know vogel isn't a hof coach and he supposedly wasn't our first choice, but i'm not sure rivers and (especially) lue are exactly master tacticians, either.

    good breakdown, though.

one thing that should be noted here is that everyone talks about the clippers' two-way ability, but that's really just their top two guys, imo. zubac, morris, williams, jackson, harrell, shamet are offense guys, beverly is defense only (LOVED bradley hounding him full court to disrupt their sets--bevs isn't a pg; he's just small).

that's ok. we have a lot of that, too. it's hard to build a roster full of two-way guys. i just think it's funny that that's the story.

I thnk they're referring to the Clippers only playing 11 games with their full roster all year...but yeah it's annoying that it keeps getting brought up

LOL .... and it's still annoying seeing the grease drip down Doc's face as he'll keep having to go there in the post game interviews.

Yeah and they should be worried about it . March is the month for a team to get to its "final form" so you can fire on all cylinders when the postseason comes, not the month to get reps and develop habits .

What’s so ridiculous is that they return nearly the entire bench and most starters. It’s not like they turned over the whole roster.

Excuses are like buttholes... everybody has one.

Except Vogel. He has instead those amazing calf muscles.

i don't envision the forum going anywhere

first of all, it's on the natl. registry of historic places. that itself would make it very difficult to get rid of. plus, i believe the plan is to have the forum be a part of the "inglewood sports and entertainment complex" which would include the new clips arena and sofi stadium

Ballmer sees what the Rams are doing and wants to coattail on it. Sort of like that other San Diego carpetbagger team who will freeload off the LA Rams.
Blasphemy they are saying the Clippers are buying it just because Ballmer owns it. That makes it sickening.

“This plus another 1 billion for a new arena just for Paul George to shoot like 3-20 when it matters. Tough.”

The bright side is that the Clippers will be leaving the House that Shaq Built. But still, Flop City owning the forum feels foul as hell, like that tweet stated. I saw my first laker game in 1988 there when I was 12. I saw the game when Kobe and Jordan went at it at the forum in 1998 and the Lakers won by 20. I saw Wu-Tang Clan perform there 6 years ago.
