    I agree, he's a little too small for a 4 but he's about right for a 3/wing. I like that we got Morris for a stretch 4.

We're all high from the game, but Kuz is still not giving us what we need. We can't count on Avery Bradley to do this every game. Kuzma needs to get his s*** together as a scorer or we're in trouble.

No. I'm just being realistic. We needed Avery Bradley to go bananas to win this game. He won't do that 4 times in a 7-game series. Zero chance. Kuzma has (or we thought he did) the potential to be that guy, but he hasn't been. It's a great win. No doubt about it. But we need consistent scoring from a third player. We can't roll the dice 8 times over the course of the WCF and Finals that Bradley or KCP or Green or whoever will drop 25 points in each of those eight games to get us the wins we need.

So Kuzma grabs 10 boards, plays good D and still gets 8 points. Meanwhile Danny Green puts up an Ofer. Our starting Shooting Guard 15 million dollar a year signing Shooting Guard goes 0 for 3 for zero points in 25 minutes. But it’s Kuzma who draws your ire? Kuzma is the one who needs to get his $&@‘ together? Ok.

Dennis Schroeder is having a heck of a year.

Would be a nice trade target next year.

The hair styles he had first that twisted and tortured the individual strands and then next the gold hair dye created a stress on the uppermost brain cells closest to his scalp .... which to a degree has affected his balance and the accuracy of his longer shots especially. This is why both his personal coach, Lethal Shooter, and Penberthy as well instructed him to let the hair go back to its natural state. The negative physical effects of all that up to this point will gradually abate and we should start seeing improved shooting % over the coming weeks and in plenty of time for the playoffs.

It’s all going to be fine ... @Savory Griddles.

C'mon man. That's a strawman argument. I never mentioned Green. I mean, yes. His production has been lacking as well. But Green was never expected to be the third option on offense or carry the load during stretches. That was never supposed to be his role. Yes, Green has been a disappointment as well this season. But I didn't mention him because his disappointment has nothing to do with Kuz underperforming...which is what I was commenting on. Kuz needs to step up his scoring if we're going to win a title. We can't expect Bradley to do hat he did yesterday. Green needs to step up as well.

What argument? You didn't mention Green but you ragged on Kuz when he did a nice job on D, grabbed boards and found other ways to impact the game. Green had some decent defense but let me say this again: HE IS OUR STARTING SHOOTING GUARD. He had an Ofer. He gets paid $15 million dollars a year and was our big signing this offseason. He is supposed to knock down shots. That is literally the job of the Starting Shooting Guard. Kuz is coming off the bench and he has AD and Lebron playing in front of him at his position. You really expect him to be our third most prolific scorer?

I don't expect Bradley to shoot that hot. Green absolutely needs to play a lot better, IE score a lot more than ZERO points. He can't take games off like this in the playoffs if we are to succeed. Kuz doesn't need to score 15 - 20 per game for us to do well. In fact I'd worry if he has to for us to win. Grabbing boards, playing D, and doing other things besides scoring is incredibly important for us to succeed. More important I'd argue than scoring. And he did that.

I'm disappointed in Danny Green. He only took 3 shots but it's his responsibility to get open. He wasn't moving much without the ball and looked lethargic out there. If you're a shooter and you get open, LeBron will find you. Danny Green simply did not come ready to play. $15 million for this guy to take 3 shots and do relatively nothing is disappointing when you consider that we could have gotten a legit consistent third option with that money. But, I feel like Danny Green's consistency is why people don't really mention him. He hasn't been amazing but he's been consistently good. Kuzma's inconsistency just makes for a better story and since he's flashy and out there, it makes him an easier target. I wonder if benching Danny Green and starting KCP would be better right now.

Do we know that kuz was expected to be a third scorer? I mean that the coaching staff wanted that?

the press and the fans wanted it, but I’m not sure that matters.

I mean, they certainly would have expected that, right? He was our 2nd option last season behind LeBron and MAYBE Ingram. Kuzma was given the chance to be our third option but with how he has played, I think a safer approach at this moment is for our bench to just be our bench and for them to contribute collectively to LeBron+AD's efforts. It's too late for Kuzma to try and be our 3rd option and us force-feeding him these opportunities.

My feeling exactly. Do you really think the coaching staff expected/counted on Kuz to be our third leading scorer? Coming off the bench behind AD and Lebron? It was NEVER this coaching staff's expectation nor emphasis. In fact Kuz has been carrying out what the staff has been asking of him. Show us that you are more than a one dimensional scorer. That's not what we need on this caliber of a team. Make plays for others, grab some boards and most importantly develop on the defensive end. I've seen him rise to this challenge thus far. This is a different role than last year.

Admittedly, when AD has been out and Kuz has started, he has been counted on to make up more of the scoring load. And he's been a mixed bag in those cases. He had some excellent outings and some absolute stinkers.

Now I do expect Danny Green to provide offense for the first unit. When he doesn't he is adding to Lebron and AD's burden instead of helping. Other than that awful starting stretch of 10 games or so in the beginning of the season, KCP has been outplaying Green by quite a bit. Sure, it's not the worst problem to have - your bench SG outperforming your starter. But still, Green is going to have to pull his weight in the post season. He simply has to. Maybe Waiters will help a little in that department though I won't hold my breath on that one.

Is Kuz or Green a free agent? Isn’t this the Players transaction thread?

Kuz + Green for Dinwiddie this offseason!

There both gone. No more issues.

While it would be nice, not sure I agree. The truth is, we brought in a number of guys who were supposed to give us outside shooting and most of them are falling short. We need them to ALL step it up. If they do, we are clearly the favorite for the championship this year. I do believe we are good enough to have a third by committee. Actually have felt that Bradley has the potential to be a solid #3 on this team. Even Green could try to be a bit more consistent on offense. Instead of putting pressure on any single one of them, put it on all of them to help find the guy we need to step up, every single game. Don't really care who it is, as long as it is someone.

I actually thought this game was one of Kuzma's best games this year. He was balling on D and getting in everyone's way.
