either that or people who think they're bring "trendy" by hating the lakers and cheering for the clips
Fact is San Diego is a well built team. Balmer is going all out to bag more market share and make the Clipper ship relevant in LA. Unfortunately so far he's succeeding with help from a former Laker great. That is why Sunday's game is so important. This weekend the P&G can make a statement by taking out these intruders and the Bucks back to back. That won't go unnoticed. Consensus is that the 'Ships' are better on paper. So far they have been on the floor vs us. The time is NOW to make a statement and beat those intruders!!!!
Who got released this time to make room for Noah’s corpse? I read some headline but not the story yet in the Times a couple days ago about him maybe buying the Forum, (to clear the way for the new arena by getting rid of Azoff’s law suit ???) and what it might mean for the Forum. The guy is filthy rich. Tough to compete against that kind of wealth. Penalty tax won’t mean squat to him for any squad he wants to keep together.
noah took their last remaining roster spot and ballmer buying the forum is great news for the lakers because it means the clippers will finally get the hell out of staples
Balmer is gonna build a new arena, that will make Staples look like a henhouse. What he can't buy (at least for now) is/are championships. Im fairly sure, that Clippers won't catch up to us during my lifetime
The Dippers playing in our old house 1, bugs me and 2, puts them by proximity in Inglewood to the Rams world class development. Too much San Diego in Inglewood these days.
I am just guessing it would be to get rid of the law suit so they could proceed with the new arena right next to the Rams. Note to self read the article later today.
the clippers won't be playing in the forum dolan and the MSG company owned it and because of that, were preventing the clippers from opening up their own arena in inglewood. ballmer buying the place is simply to get dolan/MSG out of the area
The issue with moving to Seattle is the fact that Balmer paid a premium for a Los Angeles team. Relocating to Seattle would probably hurt the value of his franchise. Not to mention the fact that the weather is a huge difference. How many players want to live there during rainy season? I doubt Kawhi chooses the Clippers if they were in Seattle.
Thanks for the clarification 432J and Kenzo. Let's hope MSG hangs tight. They did just complete a fairly large renovation to make it exclusively a performing arts venue. As far as Leonard and the weather, he chose Toronto so there is that. But if he's after post carrer endorsements and alike, I totally see that.
this pop wanted to say **** you to kawhi so he dealt him to the furthest place from his home in LA. it just so happened toronto was a superstar away from contending for a title
Clips have more size on the perimeter; if LBJ sees Beverly on him, he must take that midget into the post. Actually, he needs to operate free-throw line extended down and dominate; same for AD. And hit your shots. Additionally, I'd like to see more pick in roll action with AD exclusively at the 5; that led to some quality looks last night.
Well apparently I really am not up to speed on anything KL. lol Let's hope the Clappers weren't also 1 superstar away from a title. And they got 2.
what's your excuse now Doc? glad we can finally stop hearing about the clippers undefeated record when healthy
They have no rim protection. Great perimeter defenders but no real shot blocker: I've watched Lebron his entire career and if he's healthy you need someone back there to discourage the drive or he's just going to take all sort of contact and get to the paint with a head of steam. You need an elite defender with a geat rim protector: Duncan/(Bowen or Leonard), Chandler/Marion to really give him trouble. I mean he had his way on offense against GS every series but they couldn't defend those ridiculous GS teams the other ay. The Clippers don't have that rim protector nor I think that level of offensive firepower that GS bought.
