I get his point but my point isn't this the dude that Kobe s*** all over in Phoenix in the playoffs? And isn't he now playing the middle of nowhere doing nothing with his career? Yeah. It'd be a surprise if anyone cared what this idiot thinks.
Dudley did not hold back. Recap: 1. Kobe is great, but he's such a superstar/killer. He has a huge personality and doesn't have a throttle to step back so most players don't want to play with him. 2. He would be shocked if Love came to LA. He's playing with LeBron. He's in the Eastern Conference. He's playing on a winning team, and he would be getting an extra $25 million. He might want his own identity, but win 1 or 2 first before opting out. 3. Players respect Harden. He has improved every year, and he gets his players involved like Terry, Brewer, and to a fault, Josh Smith. Lol. Defensively, he is bad at times. He was awful last year, but he's not awful anymore. 4. Zach Randolph is the most underrated player in the NBA. 5. Most overrated is Carmelo. He is viewed as a top 5 player, but he's not. He has the talent. The triangle should fit him, but he's got to get out of the first or second round. He didn't even make the playoffs.
Meh. Interesting that his worst comments are for Kobe and Carmelo, two guys who repeatedly crush him on the court. Then again, a lot of guys crush Dudley so I guess that's not saying a whole lot.
#NeverForget Jared Dudley, against all odds, finds a way to shoot the ball backwards http://ftw.usatoday.com/2015/03/jar...-odds-finds-a-way-to-shoot-the-ball-backwards
Dudley can go scratch. Never liked him and this just shows that I was justified in my dislike. Anyone who doesn't want to play with Kobe I don't want on this team anyway.
Dudley is an NBA player and he's entitled to his opinion about other players, but how many players are going to play with Kobe when the FO is only offering 1 year deals? The FO is planning long-term this offseason, so when they start offering multi-year deals, players will be interested, whether Kobe is there or not.
He does have a point. But Kobe did start toning it down with the shot attempts once he passed MJ on the scoring list. I'm just wondering if that was just one of his "passing phases" he goes through every year or if he realized he's not the same player he was before the achilles injury and started adapting.
Of course he toned down the attempts. He had a severed arm. He shot to hit that mark and then shut it down.
he likes harden but not melo? at least melo tries to score honestly. prior to this past season, I think anyone in their right mind would have taken melo, and if he comes back healthy, he'll be better again. in other words, I think Dudley's sort of a full of s***, in general. it's ok, tubby, someone will give you a hug. be glad you duped someone into that first contract extension, though.
I'm pretty sure Dudley would have killed to be Ariza or Ron on the championship run teams. Instead he was dumped by the Clips PLUS a 1st round pick just to get rid of him. Who doesn't want to play with who again?
if we have to project Dudley's physique based upon what's happened to smush, he might have a shot at one of those network tv shows.
You know what I say to this and I'm sure Kobe himself would feel the same way I do as well: If you don't want to play with me because I'm too tough or vocal towards you or because I demand excellence out of my teammates then I don't want you on my team anyway. Only the strong willed and player who truly want to work hard, win, and succeed do I want playing with Kobe or for this Lakers team. Case in point #1 > Dwight Howard = NO THANKS! Case in point #2 > Derek Fisher = Multiple Rings & A Friendship Bond that will last forever.
Mitch already said if you don't want to play with Kobe, we don't want you. Scott said several players told him during the season they wanted to play with us. I think Dudley is talking to the wrong guys -- the D12 types. Kobe, Scott, and the Lakers mentality isn't for everyone. It's for winners. If that's not you, stay away. Thanks.
