I’d play Marcus with a small and tell them to sit in the 3. If they want to run their offense around posting Morris, they’re welcome to it. Same with Reggie Jackson ISO’s or pick and rolls. These offensive options are inferior to their standard ones.
Simple question: Is Mo Harkless a better offensive player than Morris? Answer is no. Don't be silly. Former players and analysts have said this in the media numerous times. Morris gives them something Harkless couldn't provide. LeBron can't double Kawhi to leave Morris open for the three. He could do that with Harkless. It's called floor spacing. Ever heard of it? No... I guess not.
Harkless knicker diwn threes against us, no? And he’s a better defender than Morris. Yo me, Morris and Jackson were acquired to a) keep them from us, and b)help them deal with load management and keep a high seed. it raises their floor, but not their ceiling.
He probably takes up a lot of minutes that Trez usually plays too, who is probably more of a better fit because he’s less ball dominant and does the other things on the court like hustle, rebound and defend. Probably why Trez has been pissed lately. OH WELL. :Kiddspilldrink:
with their full lineup healthy they're just downright scary still don't see this lakers team getting past them in a 7 game series
You have to tip your cap To them after rebuilding from the Blake griffin DeAndre Jordan Chris Paul team these are no longer your father’s clippers In order to beat them, since their supporting cast appears to be much stronger than ours, our two stars are going to have to massively outplay their two stars that will be no small task, and will have to see things from AD that we’ve never seen before on the biggest stage
That may be one of the few series outside of any Laker series that I actually have interest in watching
https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/d/davisan02.html#all_playoffs_per_game we want more than 31/13/2.5 on 53% from the floor?
We need to see him dominate other stars in the playoffs is what I mean. He hasn’t won squat in the playoffs so far, so our expectations will take him places he has never been before, so he will be showing stuff we have never seen.
their FO couldn't have handled the griffin/cp3 trades any better plus it helps that cp3 was willing to help the clippers out by agreeing to a sign and trade instead of just leaving in FA. if it wasn't for that, the clips right now don't have lou, beverley, or harrell. 3 huge pieces
well, it helped that he worked under the table to get a trade to his preferred destination. not sure how much of that is clips being savvy. what do they have to show for the griffin trade? or is it just that they didn't get stuck paying him again? anyway, it's easier to do that kind of stuff when there's no legacy involved. we couldn't handle kobe's decline that way, nor will we be able to handle lebron's that way. being a loser franchise has occasional advantages!!
they got out of griffin's contract and turned harris/boban into shamet who is developing into a pretty good 3 pt specialist
