That's very true. He could have taken games off. The final shots would be his - Bron would gladly pass him the ball, he's that kind of player. And with Kawhi and AD, Bron could easily play until he is 40. It was a huge mistake, made because Kawhi does not think he's good enough to play with Bron and not be in his shadow. That's crazy to me.
I don't think Balmer cares about salary cap. If they go to the Finals or win it, he'll pay millions upon millions to get there again.
all 3 of our stars could have load managed if we had them all, and could extend all of their careers however, Lebron is stat hunting for the remainder of his career to some degree (Wouldn't you?), so maybe there was something about not wanting to be in Lebron's shadow. He didn't need him to win a championship, so why would he take a back seat to him? And he would because he's simply not as marketable. i'm fine with kawhi going to the clips because i just hate the whole "superteam" thing the fact that there is finally a true lakers-clippers rivalry after all these years is pretty exciting
it’s not only about willingness—your ability to spend and trade is hampered in the current system. it’s harder to skirt the rules just by throwing cash at the problem. But yes, ballmer will throw the cash; that’s certain.
Would really be nice to have Harkless for this matchup and basically every possible Finals opponent. The lack of a tweener forward defender is one that everyone is aware of but we really don't have an answer for other then sticking with an AD/Dwight/Lebron frontcourt to close games. At least Caruso can take Rondo's minutes but we got nothing for Kuzma's failing as a defender
Kuzma is developing into a lockdown defender :Kuzmawhoknew: ***speak it into existence*** no reinforcements are coming.
Agreed. It's more interesting this way. Although, I'm not gonna lie, I was excited about the idea of that Big 3.
Yeah it's fine this way . Don't see any happiness/joy felt as a fan from a guaranteed title ala Warriors
Agreed, I also like the fact that there are a couple of teams capable of winning it all. Next year should be even more competitive with the return of KD and the Warriors' core. Let's just hope we can win a chip in the process and meanwhile secure AD's services for a long time. As regards the Clips, I think people are seriously underestimating the health factor for Kawhi. He's not just resting he has serious issues with those knees and if he's not at 100%, I like our chances very much. To be honest, I'm more concerned about the Bucks. I also feel that the Lakers haven't displayed their full potential on many different levels. Being it Bron coasting, low intensity on D for long stretches (and we have seen what this team is capable of at this end if properly motivated), low minutes for Caruso and in general weid lineups (I hope ogel is just playing his cards close to his chest here), I mean there seems to be a lot of potential for further growth/improvement of our play. Time will tell as always, but I am still very optimistic concerning our title chances this year and even more next year (assuming AD stays and we plug the obvious holes in the off season).
I agree. They match up well with us and they have no major health concerns. To beat the Bucks, we need AD to outplay Giannis most of the time, and that's tough even for The Brow. He can match him, but I'm afraid that alone isn't enough. I mean, either that or Bron shows us that he played in 3rd gear in the regular season and just goes nuts on the Bucks. Which might be possible, I don't know.
That’s exactly what will happen. LA will never be Kawhi’s town. If anything the city will resent him even more if they win it all. Especially considering the tragic events of this past month.
High school students who received free Kawhi bags and who donated them to thrift stores at Los Angeles area probably will go
not gona hate that backpack bro, my 8yr old son got one of them with a chrome book.....he still knows he has to be a laker fan tho lol
