First time in my life, when im happy that the C Bags won a game. Im also starting to like Tatum... i guess Kobe was right about him. We could sure as hell use him on the Lakers.
did he? i watched the last quarter and overtime, and i didn't see them guard each other much. seemed like hayward and smart were on kawhi a lot, and the C Bags kept finding ways to get lou on tatum (we need to be taking notes on how they got that matchup over and over again). also, the C Bags did a great job surprising kawhi with blitzes to his strong hand. he doesn't respond well to that stuff, despite all the fawning about his new-found point forward ability. i said in the preseason that i thought their achilles's heel might be that they don't employ any good passers. i think boston was able to expose that a bit in key moments. i suppose some will say that in most end-game situations, you create situations where you don't have to make tough passes, but maybe good defenses won't allow that.
So, it has been reported that PG suffered a left hamstring injury during the second quarter of Thursday’s game vs the C Bags. This is the same hamstring that he injured at two different times this season, with the second injury resulting in his sitting three-plus weeks in January. That means the injury could be serious and could see him out for a considerable time. I said this a little ways back in this thread that both PG and Kawhi are on borrowed time. PG can't stay healthy and Kawhi's quad might not hold up in the playoffs when the Clippers will absolutely need him and he cannot "load manage". It would be hilarious if they went all in and the Clippers flop with no real way to improve their roster going forward. It would be the universe paying back the Clippers IMO.
it also means we really have to be careful with Bron moving forward. We can’t be having him play 35+ minutes down the stretch, especially with our schedule strength being easier the 2nd half. we need our bench to really dig in if we’re gonna make it all the way.
Definitely. No more of that being on the floor and grimacing in pain while feeling around his knee. Fan heart attack time.
My bad, I thought I was being a hater as well, just in a more sly way. Marcus friggin’ Morris was never anyone to get all upset about not trading multiple players and a pick over.
I watched the last 5 minutes plus the 2 OT's . Tatum had several good defensive possessions guarding Kawhi . On the other hand , Tatum often forced Shamet to switch on him but Kawhi was poor defensively overall . 100% agreed on the blitzes stuff .
Medias : " Clippers got Kawhi and PG13 " Lakers fans : "yeah but we got Bron and AD ... it's a better duo" Medias : "yeah BUT there are MAJOR health concerns regarding these last two" So far , Bron and AD only missed a cumulative 6 games , Kawhi and PG13 ... 34 ! The medias : " We never said that ! Lakers fans are making stuff up once again !!!!"
another guy that makes more sense for the lakers than the clippers. they scurred. don't really want him, anyway.
LOL. The Clipps will sign or pay off everybody, just to keep them off the Lakers. Im kind of lovin it...
6. LA Clippers Record: 37-18 Week 17 ranking: 6 The Clippers have played 2,655 minutes this season. Kawhi Leonard and Paul George have played just 572 of those together. And now Paul George has reinjured his troublesome hamstring, which could cause him to miss a little more time. The Clippers' primary goal down the stretch is simple: Get the top eight rotation players as healthy and as jelled as possible. Because in those 572 minutes that Leonard and George have shared, the Clippers are a plus-9.6 points per 100 possessions. -- Young This guy has been beating this drum all season. It’s killing BSPN (Ballmer Sports Programming Network) that they can’t rank them higher. The Clippers looked pretty pedestrian against the dysfunctional 76ers and they had their two stars. The stat Young is quoting is the same sort of crap Doc Rivers used to say when he would proclaim that his starting lineup is undefeated.
I’m sorry, but Kawhi messed up, these 3 could have coasted to titles, and he could have taken over the team as LeBron finishes and had one of the greatest legacies ever. First play of the AS game LeBron hits Kawhi wide open for a 3, he’d have gotten that all day here.
it was a bit of a weird choice. i get why the non-laker fans love him for it, but particularly with his load management issues, it made a lot of sense to join up with the varsity. as it stands, they're going to have to win multiple series on the road every year en route to the title. and they're going to get cap handcuffed starting next year (montrezl will want his money) and have emptied the asset chamber. everyone keeps saying we better win this year, but i think there's more pressure on them. which is part of why they keep trying to block our moves. but do they want part of road series vs utah, houston, or denver in addition to playing us, then playing on the road at milwaukee in the finals? i suppose kawhi and company think they're invincible after last year, but man...there were a lot of bounces on that shot...
