weird because he attacked much of the game.

i know folks are worried about getting fouled with no whistle at the end (or maybe we're worried about having to shoot FTs), but it seems like a higher percentage prospect than what he often does.

i think it's hard to get AD the ball in his best spots when you're working against a short clock and the other team is expecting it. also, i trust lebron to read doubles better than AD at this point.

but yeah, getting him some reps in the high post late in games might be good. i imagine we'll see some tinkering post-asb.

speaking of tinkering, my wmc was that vogel spotted denver a lead in part by going with the AD/kuz big lineup when denver kept jokic in the game. i'm fine with using AD at center against jokic to close things out, but howard gives jokic problems and should get the chance to match up with him as much as possible.

Yes people in the Denver game thread were very happy that Bron didn’t drive in and were wondering why.

Maybe he thought he was going to get hammered there and... shooting FTs was not exactly his forte last night.

Folks pointed out in twitter that with the refs swallowing their whistles with BI and Lillard driving to the hoops, players prefer going for the jumper when tied as it assures a better look (i.e. with the lack of foul call baked into the cake) and the clock runs out if you miss.

ah, yeah...good point on the clock. if you're tied, you don't want them getting another shot, period. it may be worth taking a much worse shot simply to zero out their odds of doing anything at all.

I'd rather have dawite guard jock itch, not Ludabrow, agreed there.

i remember in his first stint here a lot of people were saying that he should try it since most of his misses came from the ball hitting the back iron

    glad he's finally doing it

Millsap stunted as Bron began his move then quickly went back to Davis .

Tough to take the right decision this fast with little time left : Do I drive and may get an offensive foul or do I pass to AD in the corner and may lose the ball .

At least he didn't jack a step back 3 up

Edit: Bron was already "in the middle" of his move and AD should have stayed in the corner imo instead of going for the rebound, would have a get a wide open corner 3

Yeah, and to be honest, Bron did get a decent look there. He can always get that shot off against anyone except perhaps Giannis. Or AD, but he plays for us, LOL.

IIRC, no. It's a new development for him and it sort of works.

What the hell happened with Derron Williams? For a guy that good (seemingly) to flame out that fast, I have no idea myself. Unless he just got FAT?

Yeah, remember when we would compare Deron Williams and Chris Paul? Utah Jazz Deron Williams was a bad man. He just fell off a cliff. It must have been his fitness like you say @LTLakerFan.

Well, CP3 got a little chubby too, but he continued to be a force in this league. Who knows what happened to Deron. Phil Jackson loved his game.

not to brag, but i always thought that was a silly debate. cp3 was always better.

dude never cared to play defense, and when he hurt his knee, the house of cards collapsed. he could really shoot it off the dribble in his prime, though. wonder what he could have looked like with harden officiating.

i've suggested on many occasions that some guys get theirs while their teams lose...
