to be fair I think he's criticized most for having a big contract and not producing. But I remember Suns fans saying they'd rather have Brandon Knight playing over Johnson last year. Yikes.

We were not able to make moves, because we have no one to trade.

Well if the 40% 3 point shooters aren't getting it done... why not try the 35% shooters?

Don't get this one. Give IT another chance.

Exploratory conversations with Marvin Williams, Reggie Jackson, Moe Harkless and MKG would be nice but I doubt it happens now - seems like all these guys are headed elsewhere.

But at the end of the day - this has been a really tough 2 weeks for Lakers. I don't expect them to make any moves because they're still dealing with the Kobe death. I honestly wouldn't cut anybody for that reason alone - guys are still dealing with it, you can tell.

I think this All Star Break is exactly what our team needs - I'm over us making moves man. Sometimes it's bigger than basketball. Let's try and win it with this group - don't uproot anybody right now.

IT's defense is legit the worst for a pg

He isn't worth it, rather just play Cook or Caruso

“Moves” don’t just mean trades. SMH. Championship teams always get value from the waivers and buyouts. We can’t even do that. Weird. And frustrating.

williams is signing with the bucks, jackson (if he gets bought out) is likely going to the clips, harkless is staying in NY, and MKG sucks

and lol @ wanting IT. like i said, his defense would make rondo's look good. waiters, smith, or green are the best options right now. even turner wouldn't be a bad addition

Empty speculation and opinion. What happened in both cases is that we were given signals of serious interest. How else should any reasonable person interpret Collison showing up for a meeting with Jeannie Buss and then sitting with her at the game. That's not a lack of "intel", that's a lack of either clarity or integrity on Collison's part. And Kawhi is just a snake, and not the Mamba kind.

For most teams I can see how it would be a bad idea, but on this team with AD, Dwight, JaVale I think it would work okay.

He is one of the worst defenders but he's also 20th out of 86 point guards for offensive real plus minus while Rondo is 62nd and Bradley is 71st

Career comparison between IT and Collison

    Most recent season comparison

    https://www.basketball-reference.co...omas&y2=2020&player_id2=thomais02&idx=players

Obviously Collison would be better but Washington is a terrible defensive team while we are a good defensive team so the numbers look worse than they are

Again we need three point shooters and free throw shooting and although IT isn't what he used to be, he did improve this season from the previous year and we know he isn't afraid to shoot like some of our other shooters

The Lakers “sat on their hands”. Good lord what an overreaction. I see no deals available we could have made that made us better or made us favorites. Gut the team for Rose or Morris? Really? Now Pelinka is a moron because the JW’s have a crazy cult hold on Collison? I can’t even with this stuff. A week ago it was all “damn, I don’t know how the team is getting through this Kobe tragedy. I don’t know how Rob is gonna work the trade deadline through this”. Then days later our team are a bunch of weak minded losers because they couldn’t pull out a win in their first emotional game back at Staples and Rob is a moron because he couldn’t pull a trade off last minute just for the sake of it, even a bad trade that hurt us long term so fans would shut up. Man, some of the “fans” here are truly acting pathetic right now. I’m not holding my tongue on this s***, this place is overrun with this sewage right now, someone needs to clean it up. SMDH, unbelievable.

F*** Rob though, right? Man I swear I remember a time when Laker fans were classier, but maybe I’m wrong. Maybe that’s why we’re so hated.

Amen brother. We're always on the same page.

I woulda been pissed the f*** off if we traded Kuzma for Rose or Morris - look at what the Clippers ended up trading to get him...Harkless, Robinson and 1st round pick (which we couldn't trade). NYK asked for Kuzma AND Danny Green - sorry that's a f*** no from me.

Keep team together - simple as that. Ride it out wit this group and just figure out a better rotation - one where Rondo isn't playing against contending teams

I agree with this! You don’t make a move to make a move. There was no one that would move the needle and as you said we don’t gut the team just to make a move. That’s what impatient fans want and crappy franchises do.

our offense is missing a guy who's a threat to score off the dribble around a high screen. IT can still do that. we've pretty much stopped playing defense of late aside from AD, so might as well roll the dice on a guy who's played solidly on offense this year.

    certainly over jr smith.
