Our offense hasn't been great all year.

Early in the season our D was great and we ended up winning a lot of tight games. Now that the D has disappeared, we are struggling to close out games.

Important to note that teams have also gotten better as the season has progressed. We probably caught a few of those teams still trying to figure it out. It's more than halfway through the season. Many of these teams know what they're going to get from their players. The issue is, and I hate to say it, we have no idea what we're getting from key players on our team.

Danny Green, Bradley, Rondo, Kuzma, Cook, Daniels. Your guess is as good as any.

We know LeBron will average double-digit assists, miss a few free throws, and score 25-30.
AD will drop 25-30 with 10+ rebounds and 2-3 blocks.
Javale+Dwight will most likely win their center matchup on many nights.
Caruso will play very good defense.

Outside of that, not a whole lot of consistency. And it sucks because Kuzma, Danny Green, and Bradley were supposed to be our 3-5th options when the season started.

No one really seems to want the role or to be best suited for it

it will have to be by committee at this point

Kobe tats. For what? More lackadaisical than ever. Lost Kobe’s tribute game. And then lost to the midgets. Both at home. Clips will have best record soon. There is coasting and there is no heart.

Some ESPN talking head actually predicted this late season malaise last November, I think it was Jalen, but with Kobe dying this sudden onset of suckiness is more despair than anything else.

Meh, I’m not going to panic. It’s a bad stretch of play in February. I do think the clips are getting the 1 seed now, though.

they had the benefit of building on top of a playoff team. We were behind and had to field a full roster on 30 million. It’s pretty amazing we did so well, tbh. Kawhi really screwed us.

We screwed ourselves letting them get Marcus Morris while we were adamant about not trading Kuzma. Rob did well in the offseason but we could have also done well in the trade market. It's nonsense to keep Kuzma. Metrics just showed he is the worst defender/offensive efficiency player on our team. It isn't even close.

Kuzma couldn’t have been traded for Morris. But I think you’ve already been told.

yes, this is true... sometimes i wonder what things would look like if we acquired either jimmy butler or kemba walker instead of getting burned waiting on kawhi's decision... but, alas, it truly is an amazing turnaround... that being said, i am extremely happy we didn't panic and make a dumb move... at this point, signing collison and harkless would be yyuge!

My WMC is twofold. One my phone is jerking with me about the password again and has me logged out, with LB agreement to remember password forgotten after like 4 months. No biggee though as computer remembers and have PM'd Barns for help and am sure he'll take care of me.

The 2nd is that because I was logged out and could only read Game Time there is nothing I could say to tell the two of you in Game Time, you know who you are, that constantly bit** and denigrate our players and our coach the whole game and suck any enjoyment out of even participating there.....to knock it the **** off. I could sense Cookie was having enough of it too. Yeah, your rights to vent but like anything else on the forums themselves it becomes beyond annoying when every other quick post is you guys just ripping players and the coach. We got it. Have some self awareness of how that s*** sounds constantly throughout the game!

What's sad is the Lakers are very close to a complete team but may not make it.

I mean just signing a league average PG like Collison would close on the holes easily.
The last hole 3 and D SF is the most coveted roleplayer in the league now though. Giving up that extra 1st rounder to NO is making thinge more difficult

They are better, but Lakers fans have Lakers goggles.

As of now, it's a 5 game series in the POs.

    With Collison, maybe 5-6... maybe.

Get a quality wing, and we could make it interesting.

Meh, don't care about the loss. Houston shot 50% from 3 and it still went down to the last 90 seconds of the game.

Just think, if that was reversed, we'd have won by 30.
