He’s also put the nail in the coffin of many opposing teams in the playoffs with his shooting. Outside of KCP/Green there is no one on this roster that is capable of that.

Cook and Daniels are not playable in the playoffs. Rondo/Caruso/Bradley have zero gravity and are mediocre at best on a good night shooting. I don’t want to get stuck playing roulette for shooting in playoff games.

JR has shown he can make those shots.

If there are no better options than JR Smith then we are already screwed. Dude is 34 already, and looked to be done 2 years ago, I can’t imagine how bad he looks currently having not played in forever. I’d say give Jeff Green a try, but that somehow seems worse. I think the buyout market is our only hope. But forgive me for not wanting JR when my lasting memory of him is LeBron looking at him like “WTF ARE YOU DOING?!?!?” after he just put up 50 in a Finals game and didn’t get a last second shot because JR is a moron or was high.

Maybe the Clips got better maybe they didn’t who’s to say... they will still get destroyed by big front lines. Let’s say they get to the finals what are the Clips going to do against the Bucks? I’m just not seeing the benefit of this move unless they need depth because of the prone to injury duo of PG and Kawhi. I’m not even sure Kawhi will make it through the playoffs.

Agree. I think Philly and the Bucks match up pretty well against them...

Do not want, can’t guard his shadow, doesn’t have the speed anymore, has to jump to make passes and that’s never good. I ask if he’s better than what we have, and the answer to me is no. Same with JR Smith, he’s not better than Green, not better than Caruso at this point, so why?

    Ok... that makes sense.

Was wondering where they were flipping him to, cause he doesn't fit with NY's plan.

If I have to see Rondo and IT on the court at the same time, my head is going to explode.

I just read Winslow might be bought out. If so we need to get our hands on him ASAP!

Scroll up. There are quite a few saying it. I'm more concerned than I was yesterday. Lakers refusal to give up Kuzma is why we couldn't make a trade and now it's time for Kuzma to open his eyes and play like he's worthy of keeping. Outside of value, it's obvious the Lakers management has a high opinion of Kuzma. He has to show it on the court, now. If he wants more minutes, he needs to prove it. More playmaking opportunities comes to those who prove it.

we should look into aquiring Harkless from the Knicks, either pay them some money and a pick to release him or add Daniels and another no rotational filler to make $ work, Harkkless makes only $10mill a yr should be take less players invovled, maybe add Bradley (sorry no love lost with him)

1st part of your response I disagree with. Let’s see what happens when Morris isn’t playing 35+ minutes and taking 15-20 shots per game like he did in blowout losses in NY. I guess we’ll find out who’s right soon enough.

You don’t trade Kuz just to trade him. Clearly there was no deal to trade him that made us better. Kuz and Green plus a pick for Morris doesn’t make us better IMO, so I’m glad we didn’t do it. I’m sure Rob tried to find that deal, reports are we asked about a number of quality guards, we clearly just lacked assets or the price for us was higher than the price for other teams as no one wants to help us hoist the trophy again. That’s not some conspiracy stuff either, a lot of NBA owners hate us out of jealously, I mean they friggin got together and whined until the CP3 deal was nixed, and I remember major outcry over the Pau trade, as well as teams telling Demps not to trade AD to us. That’s collusion, but oh well, it’s cool if it’s against the Lakers. Also, let’s not forget or let it get lost in this that Rob was extremely close to Kobe and his family and he likely lost time doing his job to be a normal human being and deal with this. Some things are bigger than basketball.

Again, it’s getting twisted. Kuzma was not the hold up. It’s the fact that we would have had to send out Green to make money work. Or KCP (with him agreeing) and another guard.

We would have been spanked in any trade involving Kuz. Him being the hang up isn’t about the Lakers believing he’s the next star. It’s the fact that he’s making under $2M and we’d have had to gut the team to make contracts work for Marcus Morris?
