This just shows how people who quote statistics actually have no interpretation of how the game is played. Darren Collison can play off-ball. Rondo can't. Those numbers produced are obtained very differently. If Rondo was as good as those numbers shows, we wouldn't be out here looking for a secondary playmaker/scorer. Collison can shoot the ball better, is a more versatile scorer, and would fill a void that we desperately need to cover in terms of generating offense. I do have to ask, have you ever watched Darren Collison play? Because this just seems like one of those, "Look, Harden has better stats than Kobe. He's better", type of discussion that is brewing.

I'm not reinventing the wheel over here. his is how the buyout market and teams have treated vets for YEARS. It's called respect. Most teams have it. Yes, everyone wanted Iggy, no one wanted to give up anything for him. Riley senses a weak East and a Heat team playing way over their head and is trying to make the most of it. Will be curious to see what he's willing to give up for him and maybe Gallo.

Damn! And everyone was so sure he was going to go back to GS this summer after this season was over with. That's a lot of money to go play in South Beach.

That’s a great pickup for Miami, Butler already has them as a top 4 seed in the East, this could make them a conference finals team. And hey, at least it’s not the Clippers. But yeah it was clear he wasn’t getting bought out months ago, Memphis knew someone would be a buyer at the deadline.

So now Miami ponied up and gets Iguodala while Memphis get what they want... This is a business. Memphis has no reason to give up a valuable asset for a liability. At the end of the day, billionaires own the team and they aren't going to lose something for nothing. Be honest, you're not upset Memphis didn't drop Iguodala. You're upset we won't get him.

Curious to see what Memphis got. Because it looks right now like iggy won the staring contest, big time.

still think it was bush league for them to accept an asset in a salary dump, then hold the bet hostage for eight months. I bet agents won’t forget.

yep. No way he’s good for two more years, and he’s not movable next year if he’s already cooked.

edit: got Winslow? Ok, good for them.

That's too much $$ for us. Good that the Clips did not get him. My bold prediction: we will not trade anyone.

Hawks get Dedmon back. Not a fan of the contract Kings gave him, but they didn't give up anything for him really. Gives them depth at C and a floor spacer when Capela sits.

Looks bad on the kings that neither Ariza or Dedmon are still there

It would be a great coup if we get Collisson for free.
