that article captures my sentiments pretty well. i know people here seem to favor a wing defender (really, because of one opponent, imo), but pg has been a season-long issue and it was a worry in the summer for me. i also don't love derrick rose as much as others.

unless collison comes out of retirement to save us, i don't see a lot of great options there, unfortunately.

i'm not interested in overpaying for covington or morris. let other teams give up too much for guys that probably don't move the needle as much as people expect.

short of getting a pg, would love to see marvin williams or mkg get cut in the aftermath of the trade deadline and hop over to the lakers.

That's a great article and I agree with it as well. It's going to be a tough one to shore up our deficiencies in trade before the deadline. The Collison possibility could help a great deal but it's been quiet about him so I don't know what's going on there. Iggy said he'd sit the whole season if necessary so that's an interesting stalemate in Memphis.

It's so quiet this year regarding the rumor mill. Really have no clue if or what could happen.

Kind of doubt we do anything but scavenge the buyout market at this point

hard to see any trades that make a big difference

our minor pieces haven’t even been slightly showcased to increase their value, so who wants our spare pieces?

The problem is that we overperformed so management is going to be risk averse.

If we were middle of the pack playoff seed... 4 or 5... then you can bet we would have done something.

Since we are one in the West... management can simply point to the record and who is going to fault them for standing pat?

It will take balls for Rob to do something like trade Kuzma... I'm not saying I want him to do this... but if he gets a good offer he should definitely consider all options.

If you trade Kuzma it can't happen in a vacuum to bring in a great bet to be a more impactful player. Other players would have to go too. Then if Collison is coming another player has to go. With what just happened to the Laker family and the always talked about great chemistry this roster has, I just don't see them blowing out 25% or more of the roster.

I think the answer lies somewhere between the 34-3 start and the 12-8 slump

The net record is still excellent so it's hard to justify any moves without putting your a** on the line.

If you ask whether we are a playoff team or even a dark horse contender, the answer is a clear yes.

If you want to say we are the title favorite, then it becomes a lot more vague.

This team was formed to win a title. To mortgage one's future for a moral victory is not an optimal result.

they're performing about where i expected, maybe a little better. but yes, it hardly makes sense to pursue wholesale changes at the deadline when you're in first place by 3 games despite hitting a rocky patch. AD doesn't get banged up, and we probably don't even hit a rough patch, tbh.

My God... I can't believe LeBron wasted his athletic prime on the Cleveland Cavailers. If he were drafted by the Lakers, there would be no way we wouldn't have gotten him the help he needed. So unfortunate...

We're about to officially be out of the Covington race. Thankfully given the price tag

I don’t really see how that makes any of those teams better, feels like a move to make a move. I guess Houston gets a decent player and can get better, but he was their best big. They’ve got ancient Chandler and undersized Tucker now. I get ‘Antoni likes small ball, but that’s kind of silly.
