***edit*** I forgot I blocked Trump on Twitter, so I can't even see anything stupid he says. I typically go to Twitter for basketball updates. I try not to spoil a good time with negative nonsense. That being said, I think I will most likely respectfully leave this thread to those who enjoy debating politics. I really don't. I view them as a necessary evil, with emphasis on the evil unfortunately.

I too work in the financial industry doing audit work. Almost every company my team has audited have had their best years. People attribute this success to Obama but these were the same people who said Trump would crash the economy and cause a recession. When Trump was announced the winner of the election, stock futures went bloody red but when markets opened, it climbed and now it's reaching insane levels. Lots of people have made money. The ones crying themselves to sleep would rather be outside in protests rather than enlightening themselves and taking advantage of the money-making machine that Trump has helped create. One client we audited said that Trump's presidency has been so great that even the liberals in their company are pro-Trump now due to their bump in salary. I have another friend who is also an auditor that has told me the same thing. It's tough to lose the presidency when the economy is going so beautifully. The only way Trump loses is if there is a crash in the economy. Otherwise, the only platform these DemocRATS have involve calling him a xenophobe, racist, sexist, misogynist, transphobic, etc.,

 

It won't last forever but those who have invested under Trump could have made twice their money... EASILY. But they would rather march on the streets fighting for trans people to be able to use little girls restrooms. It's disgusting.

Wonder how ugly the campaigns will get this time. The dems really sunk to all time lows this last term. Any cordial respect I had is completely lost.

Politics is ugly in general, but having a person making decisions for the good of the country vs just trying to keep a political career alive is a big deal. Too bad he's wrapped in such an unattractive package.

 

Forget about what Trump has done.... Imagine if these DemocRATS worked alongside him. LEGAL immigration would have been so much better instead of the focus on illegal immigration. Executive orders have to be done and the judges strike them down because Trump has no choice but to work without Congress. You can't get anything done. He could propose a bill for free medicare for everyone and the DemocRATS will then switch their stance on it. It seems like these senators and representatives were basically elected to just attack Trump. Where is the progress? I live in AOC's district. I can tell you for a fact that myself and many others are going to do our best to make sure she does not get reelected. Amazon wanted to build a HQ in LIC - a 10 minute drive from my home. She had no idea how it was going to be funded and ended up costing valuable jobs (over 100,000 IMO). My sister had wanted to apply for it as soon as she graduated! Too bad... And the pathetic part is this idiot AOC probably has an Amazon prime subscription. This idiot also bragged on her Twitter account about how sad that a restaurant she used to bartend for in Manhattan was now being shut down. The restaurant's reason for shutting down: AOC's proposed wage increase happened and they couldn't afford to pay their employees! AOC thinks she has the answers but imagine if you had a business partner for an idea of yours. Would you rather have AOC or Trump being your partner? I think everyone here knows the answer...

 

No better value bang for the buck on planet Earth than Amazon Prime. IMO. Remember what ground shipping, let alone 2 day shipping, overnight and even same day shipping used to cost when you bought things on line .... PLUS great streaming content in up to 4K HDR for $11 a month. Even Netflix for streaming alone bends you over for $5 more per month at $16 if you want 4K.
