i'm not sure harden's actually the best at it. lots of guys shoot that shot now, and i'm willing to bet some (maybe many?) shoot a better percentage than harden on it. as i said when he started doing it, it wasn't that he had some talent nobody else did, it was that everyone thought it was a travel until the league came out and said it wasn't. now most guards take and make that shot. it's sort of like suggesting that the harden arm-grab is a special talent. anybody can grab an arm; nobody thinks they'll get away with it.

as for this game, meh. playing without AD is going to bite you at some point. i didn't even watch the game, but we gave up 119 points to a putrid offensive squad, at home. that's not having AD, pure and simple.

what i don't like: a narrow loss without AD prior to a couple VERY lose-able games. trolls gonna be back out this week.

i'm not going to watch the game at houston. ick. then it's at boston on MLK day. both prime time, national tv. both teams that want to prove something against the lakers. one a saturday night home game and the other a holiday home game. loss. loss.

Is AD coming back? If so, those are winnable games.

My biggest fear against Houston : Harden locking AD shoulder/arm up as he did with Kawhi one to draw BS fouls

i mean, with lebron and AD, all games are winnable. i just expect losses in road games against teams with .700 records. so it sucks that we lost a home game to a really bad basketball team right before what would count as two expected losses.

Is Orlando really that bad though? Sub .500 yes, but only by one game count. They're in 7th in the East so a likely playoff team. They were down some of their guys but so were we. Certainly we could and should have won, but I'll give them some credit for bringing strong energy all game and for closing us out with execution down the stretch. Fultz really showed me something in the clutch. Gordon played some excellent defense throughout.

I'll give a pre-emptive WMC on how many free throws Soften will attempt this game.

I logged on after a I saw a lead lol. Slept through the first half, but interesting commentary. Looks like we are looking solid in the 2nd half. And this is without AD.

    Gotta feel good about that.

Antony will NEVER win anything. He has no idea on anything but offense. No personnel management either.

Well damfony was a Laker coach at one point in time, ruined Kobe's career and alienated Pau. Damfony's whole career is because of Steve Nash. He's an incompetent hack that got lucky with the right personnel in Phoenix and a hall of fame point guard, and he's been stealing money ever since then.

i did the same. turned it on in the 4th. i peeked at the score in the 1st half, saw harden't FTAs and the deficit and was like..."about what i expected".

wish i would have seen the part where the lakers turned it on. that's my wmc. stupid houston.

btw, got to watch part of the second half...is jvg serious? he whined for like, 5 game minutes about the foul on mclemore...but he's constantly shilling for harden--who does that every. single. drive. all of them. we get it, jeff: you speak the truth...unless it's about your boy. i guess if houston drops a couple more games, you might get to coach him (finally). i'm looking forward to it.

I've said a hundred times we need to put in the shooters... especially when we are falling behind but instead we continue to double down on our so called starting lineup.

We must give our shooters shots with regularity or we will be destroyed by those who have good three point shooting teams.

Our inability to defend elite wings is a recurring problem that needs to be addressed.
