Yeah but they and I (hopefully "we") respect the hell out of his defense on the perimeter and the pressure he puts even on guys bigger than himself. He's a beast when healthy and to my eyes (Vogel's too) is getting back into the rhythm he had offensively and for his favorite types of shots that he had at the start of the year.
im not holding out hope on his 3s, but will hope his mid range gm continues to hold up n he attacks the paint, only him n james do it as the starters, green rarely ever gets to the rim with his poor handles
I think he made a couple of baskets at the rim yesterday, and I was like that's not really his game, but it's also what we needed at the moment when they were effectively guarding the 3 pt line ***edit*** Oops, that was intended to be about Danny Green
Prior to the injury, he was making strides as a ball handler in the pick and roll; maybe he’ll pick that back up.
I see a lot of negativity on his ball handling and certainly it has shown some times (pretty much like everyone at times) but also like "a beer" says above there's been other times handling the ball with getting to the rim and/or dishing and the P&R .....that with his quickness and success on those times it looks really NICE. Get back in your groove and good health to you AB.
feel like he was turning the corner and getting all the way to the hoop or the elbow for a pretty automatic jumper, also making some lob passes. it's an old-school pick and roll, but it makes the defense have to play him (as opposed to sitting him off-ball, where he's ignored). but he has to continually prove he can do that, and the team has to feel like those plays are better than the ones that basically just let him conserve energy for defense. i won't pretend to be a coach here, but any signs of offense from him seem like a positive to me.
Loved his defensive tenacity once again but only so many times one can say that before you realize his three point shooting needs to get better. He's constantly wide open so those shots are always there for him.
I really don't like him playing with three guard lineup alongside Rondo and KCP. That lineup sucks. He's good with the starters though.
Wow good news!! The slo mo looked ugly on that. I saw the knee tweek before I saw the ankle in the replays. And it looked at the time to me like he reached for his knee while on the floor. But then that was a nasty turn of the ankle on the replays.
