Not the info - but the need to upgrade the roster especially backup PG.

It is so glaring of a need

I don’t think anyone has been anti-upgrading. Some just wanted the team to take their time and see how the player market develops. Now Collison could become available, so there’s more options from waiting it out. Patience.

I mean, we never had an actual non-rondo pg, so yeah we knew. Glad we didn’t and won’t panic trade.

At this point, a few things the last couple weeks have become clear. Lakers are having MASSIVE problems between the late 3rd and early 4th quarter lineups. Those lineups aren't protecting AD and especially Lebron. They are blowing leads to s***ty teams, whom they are still beating BUT, the good teams like the Clippers are taking advantage and it resulted in 2 double digit leads during both games where they lost to the Clippers.

Good teams will beat the Lakers if they don't figure out how to rest AD and Lebron comfortably. The bench is terrible in sustaining leads. You can call it focus all you want, it's not. Once maybe twice every now and then, ok, but every time the Lakers get a 15-20 point lead, it evaporates in minutes, to 7 or 8 when the stars sit. That will cost them in the playoffs.

One thing I have to admire about Lebron this year, and there have been a few things already, is his ability to be the best PG in the game. I am not kidding, he is remarkable this year in that department and even more, he found a way to manage his energy, on top of it, knowing his team can't be effective without him.

Regardless of what happens this year, he has my respect. With that, Lakers need to send him some help if things do not change by the end of the month. I believe Rob has an idea of that and will pounce once the Lakers near the deadline.

Biggest bench problem is most of these guys can't play well without Lebron

Rondo has poor chemistry with Kuzma and KCP

If Collison does join us (cut or move Daniels?), I hope he agrees to come off the bench, but we may close games with him

    Just so we can go

    KCP, Green, Lebron, AD, Mcgee
    Collison, Caruso, Kuzma, Dwight
    Cook, Avery, THT, Dudley, Boogie

    Rondo

As worthless as Rondo has been, Cook has been even worse. I often forget he's on the team, and my only reminders seem to come in the form of, "He's a great chemistry guy." and not that he actually contributed anything on the court.

Its mainly because those units just chuck 3s and allow the other team to get back in the game with fast breaks... Long bricks make it easier to run.

Idk about that - either way, let's hope we replace Rondo.

well, in terms of potential load issues, yes. but tbh, those lineups aren't going to play much in the playoffs.

just one competent scoring guard would really help, though. dj augustin, darren collison, anyone of that ilk could do wonders.

and again, i'm certain none of this has been lost on the front office.

Collison can handle the ball, plays within himself, decent defender, can hit 3s and create his own shot a bit. Nobody outside lebron/ad can do that consistently. He would help that 2nd unit a lot. (assuming hes been working on his game this last year) Cut cook or daniels and add Jeff Green. He can defend Kawhi/PG in small spurts and can score in bunches. Those 2 additions would really help a lot in the playoff where we cant' hide our deficiencies as well as we are now. Those are literally are two biggest issues. The two said players aren't going to completely solve those issues but they can def help!

This roster is starting to concern me - so, we have 3 guys who practically never see the floor (Dudley, Cook, & Daniels); Bradley has been injury prone lately. Cousins is probably done for the season, too. Kuzma is still trying to find his way..

This isn't good...if we sign Collison, it is hard to know what he brings after being off for a year and a half.

But we need help right now. I think that's apparent...

Collision played last year. Am pretty confident he hasn't forgotten how, will be big upgrade over Rondo and should be doing just peachy by the playoffs. Or Augustin the same.

Oh boy - do we bite if it's Kuzma + trash for Bogdanovic and Bjelica?

Just tried Kuzma, Bradley, Rondo and Cook in trade machine for these 2 and it works

Then you go and sign collison...you gain Collison, Bogdanovic and Bjelica

    Who says no?

sac. We’d be lucky to get bogdan, much less another of their better players.

this is the kind of deal I’d move kuz in. Then you kind of have to give Jeff green a look.

    Yep. Agreed.

A secondary ball handler, good shooter, etc.

Also, a guy you can sign to long-term deal who can be moved later in down the line, if we choose to do so...

    Luke, stay in Vlade's ear...lol

Yeah I did not expect Sac to seriously consider moving Bogdan to the Lakers. This is a move that I could go for.
