Some of these shots that KCP took made me scream at the TV. But he's on a hot streak so he's making these bad shots so far

Hey so I heard them call it a groin contusion tonight. Where's @Doc Brown or @therealdeal ? Isn't that a whole bunch better than a pull? He just got kneed there and is bruised and sore only? Unless it somehow exacerbated the tweak of whatever he had since there was a report of something like 5 days ago?

Hey LT maybe you and RonStu can experiment on which is more painful by kneeing each other in the groin just to see how it feels. :Kobe Snickering:

The injury is obviously bothering him, but he had a good game, trying to keep everyone involved. It does not seem he is going to miss many games because of this, but I hope he is going to have enough time to recover fully for the playoffs.

Only issue with Lebron is his free throws. I've been impressed with everything else.

There was a sequence in the Clippers game when Lebron and I believe AD after a offensive rebound where they passed to wide open Danny Green for 3s. Green missed both and it would have been a momentum builder had he made the shot.

Lakers role players have to make open shots in big games , otherwise it doesn't matter what AD and Lebron do. The other team will always force it to the role players.

right. and in fairness, management went out and got a couple guys who had a track record of catching the ball and making shots. they just aren't doing it so far.

lebron's fts bug me, as does his tendency to avoid driving the ball in crunch time. though, again, i really think this is partly due to him playing hurt.

Overall he’s been fantastic, but besides the free-throws, I’m not a big fan of holding the ball with no motion in the offense and then jacking up a step back three to beat the shot clock. That is happening too much as well.

I realize most of don't like LeBron nearly as much as I do, but I'm posting it anyways.

LeBron James named AP top male athlete of decade

    https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/28389041/lebron-james-named-ap-top-male-athlete-decade

He left Cleveland for Miami, finally became a champion, went back to his beloved northeast Ohio, delivered on another title promise, then left for the Los Angeles Lakers and the next challenge. He played in eight straight Finals. No NBA player won more games or more MVP awards over the past 10 years than he did. He started a school. He married his high school sweetheart.

"That's all?" LeBron James asked, feigning disbelief. No, that's not all. Those were just some highlights of the past 10 years. There were many more, as the man called "King" spent the past decade reigning over all others -- with no signs of slowing down.

James is The Associated Press Male Athlete of the Decade, adding his name to a list that includes Tiger Woods, Wayne Gretzky and Arnold Palmer. He was a runaway winner in a vote of AP member sports editors and AP beat writers, easily outpacing runner-up Tom Brady of the New England Patriots.

"You add another 10 years of learning and adversity, pitfalls, good, great, bad, and any smart person who wants to grow will learn from all those experiences," James, who turns 35 Monday, told the AP. "A decade ago, I just turned 25. I'm about to be 35, and I'm just in a better [place] in my life and have a better understanding of what I want to get out of life."

Usain Bolt of Jamaica was third for dominating the sprints at the 2012 and 2016 Olympics; soccer superstar Lionel Messi was fourth; and Michael Phelps -- the U.S. swimmer who retired as history's most decorated Olympian with 28 medals, 23 of them gold -- was fifth.

it is that. the league should make it less effective somehow, but until then, we get to watch the houston rockets amass the league's best record over a several-year period.

    Congrats to Bron, well deserved.

I also agree about the ugly basketball comment. Yes, you can play the game like that but it's not fun to watch. Like, at all. I prefer well executed offense when the ball moves. And I know Bron is aware of this problem, a player like that has to be. Besides, he's not Harden. Harden is a much better pure shooter and can hit almost 87% of his FTs; his percentages overall look weak because he's a volume shooter and has green light to jack up random shots non-stop. But Bron should never play like that, I'd hope he's above that style of ball. Good mid-range shots, driving to the basket, an occasional 3, playing defense and assisting others is his game. As he gets older, assist more and take smarter shots instead of jacking up threes for no reason.
