That is true but the difference in his health is visibly much worse than it was at the same point last season. I mean, something has to be more serious than it is right now considering the league isn't taking a drastic look at it. My hope is they play the Rockets and Denver so we can tire his legs out and we'll finish them off.
That's irrelevant. Any game the Lakers play at Staples is a home game for the Lakers. And should the Lakers be eliminated before that, again, it's irrelevant.
I think I didnt make my question clear. They will have home court should they face the Lakers. They will still be in their locker room, no travel, stay at home all series long. Because the Houston Rockalynics look like pure s*** and it will only look worse in the playoffs. Clippers vs Lakers in the WCF, barring major injuries to either team, is a lock right now.
Would it be against the rules for Ballmer to buy seats on the open market and redistribute them to Clippers fans? That would be an interesting use of his wealth. Although even a 1000 seats could cost a million dollars for that match up...even more for the good seats.
Doc Rivers on how the Clippers view load management, as opposed to the Lakers: “It’s our philosophy, I don’t know theirs. I think theirs is whatever LeBron says it is“ No Doc, your's is whatever Kawhi says it is.
Doc getting nervous. He's looking greasier than normal. He better hope Kawai doesn't fall apart. Does anyone have that meme of Kobe and Fisher laughing at the blank ****** banner?
uh, yeah, if that's a shot about how lebron manages things...you'd probably hanging out in 10th place had kawhi not taken control of your basketball operations. and that's AFTER you had to be canned from that position for your ineptitude and problematic nepotism. so yeah, i'll take lebron dictating my action over your sorry a** or kawhi leonard's pretty obviously crazy a**.
This is a non issue . I hate cry me a river but Kawhi approach is the right one given his injury . Floppers can afford it . They still have George , Lou , Harell and some solid role players. If we rest Lebron , it's almost a guaranteed loss . I hope we start resting guys after the ASG because while it's FUN to try winning every regular season game , I truly fear it's going to hurt us in the playoffs
i agree with gp. it's not just about winning titles. it has to about more than that. the nba exists because fans watch. the vast majority of those fans follow teams that will not win the title in any given 5-10 year span. they want to see the big time players go out and compete (this is why the allstar game has become a joke--nobody's competing). so when guys sit so that they might be healthier later, we're saying the games don't matter. i'm not sure of the solution, and i agree that kawhi's degenerative condition probably needs different treatment than other players' issues. but all lebron said is that when he's healthy, he's going to play. doc was the one who (unsurprisingly and totally in character) took the low road and started badmouthing the lakers because lebron runs things. well, kawhi runs things there, and you guys have different reasons. it was a reporter asking you about this, not the lakers. as for the consequences, we'll see. i'd like the highest seed possible, so that we can play inferior competition in the early rounds of the playoffs. people forget the playoffs are long, too, and kawhi doesn't get to sit games then. does getting all this rest mess with your biorhythms such that you have trouble later? i don't think we know enough about "load" to answer a lot of questions. so i say play if you can. don't go MDA/kobe...but that's just common sense. we're not doing that, and we won't.
http://www.espn.com/espn/feature/st...s-clippers-rule-staples-center-their-own-ways Really interesting article on how different Staples Center looks between the two teams. Also, Clippers really need to GTFO.
