I wanted to make sure we all start refocusing on the one true goal: climbing back to the top of the basketball world. Our future is getting brighter by the day, no doubt, but we're not the Clippers. We don't settle for good. Just because we've been down like this for a few years, our goal will never change. We want a Championship and that means a long and hard journey that begins now in the front office.

    HOORAY!

I think it probably ends up as

    Clarkson/veteran PG
    Kobe/Ellington/Brown
    starting caliber SF/Young/rookie
    Randle/Black/Kelly
    Okafor/veteran C/rookie

    Great read @therealdeal

Completely nailed the last few years of the franchise and how it feels for things to finally be looking up.

Been tough the last few seasons...the flameout of 2011, the Stern job, the Mike Brown debacle, Pringles, the ill fated Nash and Howard acquisitions...Dr. Buss' passing...24's mortality. The elevator is being renovated and soon to be moving from the basement.

Im all about putting the best 5 on the court. I just think id be more ideal since we are in the west to play Okafor at PF and dont necessarily think Randle should be forced at SF.

Dude Okafor is a huge kid. He's definitely best suited for Center. He's 6'11" and 275 pounds of big butted kid. He'll handle the Center spot no problem.

My bad my man, I know Okafor has a great build, I guess im just envisioning and would love to have the twin towers part two though I know wouldnt be necessary since were in the West and would make things easier if he played next to a banger.

I get that. I just think this kid has classic Center written all over him. Randle is a modern PF who is more mobile if a little bit shorter. He's got the bulk and strength to deal with most PFs in the league anyway.

I agree. Draft is gonna tell us an inside look of what mitch is thinking/doing as far as if he makes any trades (players/other two draft picks).

Huh? If you don't like forcing Julius down to SF why would you be for trying to fit Jahlil in at the 4? Not feeling that. This guy screams at me next great Lakers BIG MAN for a long time.

Let's get him first before anointing him as the next Great Laker big. I'm excited but I fear wanting one player over another would just result in unnecessary disappointment lol at least for me. I'll go along with the process, watch this develop and celebrate the player we draft on June 25!

Why cant he play the 4? I dont get why everyone is acting like he has concrete feet or something. Is it because hes not shifty enough for griffin/draymond green? If we can land Gasol, wed have possibly the best bigs in the game and impose our will on the other team.

After further thinking though, a stretch 4 would be something to highly consider to play next to towns/okafor. Randle can guard the 3 on D, 4 on O.
