That's the biggest 'unknown' with this team. How will they handle any hardships, will those negative attributes surface if they begin to lose? A lot easier to keep appearances when your team is destroying everyone. I'm enjoying the comradery so far, it's a complete 180* from last season... we had guys sitting with the fans avoiding the bench, coaches rolling their eyes.. it's an incredible turn around and a lot is due to Lebron no doubt. He's acknowledging everyone and very positive; it's refreshing.

He's def lost half a step, and some athleticism but it doesn't matter. His 3ball has improved and his IQ for the game has more than compensated for it. I never thought his game would age this well but he's just been incredible.

He lost his 4th quarter jitters.

He also lost the coach killer label.

If he's lost half a step boy it's hard to see with his quickness and acceleration. If anything some vertical but really what's different is he has smartly cut down on so many full speed soaring dunks. Harder to come by and less safe way and more energy burning way to play the game with all of those at his age now. He still gets up but he picks his spots and has continued into his mid thirties polishing skills and adding skills and moves on the floor rather than playing above the rim anywhere near what he used to do.

I don't think he lost the arrogance or attitude.

I do think that his ego and attitude was never as big as his desire to win. LeBron has done EVERYTHING humanly possible to make AD feel at home and then some...He has gone to great lengths here and I admire his ability to so easily pass the torch for the betterment of the team. I really think this makes LeBron very special in his own way.

Kobe would have never embraced this to the same degree. Kobe wanted to win and he wanted to win his way. And he did, and that makes him great too.

But comments like "I eat first" and "he has to fall in line" are pretty straight forward. His desire to win his way was bigger than his desire to win. Otherwise him and Shaq could have collected a few more rings.

Definitely slowed down noticeably. Was watching his highlight dunks from the past and he was way, way quicker and springy back then. But a slightly slower Lebron is still a great athlete

Slower Bron is still more athletic than most players, so it’s not as noticeable until you compare him with his younger self.

Yes he has slowed down a bit.

But it seems to me like it hasn't changed the way he can play the game. He is still as effective as he has ever been. He still blows past players and still finishes with contact around the rim.

Sometimes its hard to see LeBron's greatness because he doesn't do anything crazy to the eye. He bullies his way to the rim and is a good passer...his shot looks wonky, his FT shooting is bad, he can be careless with the ball etc...

Kobe was way more pleasing to the eye with his silky smooth shot, his stunning footwork, his demeanor, clutchness etc...LeBron doesn't really strike to the eye as amazing but he absolutely is. The way he makes everything look simple is a talent reserved for legends. The IQ, the movements etc...can't watch it but can feel it.

Hair. Otherwise, I don’t see anything he is not as good at doing from the past. 17yrs in the league will take obvious hits to your body. But he is as resilient and as incredible an athlete as he’s always been.

Only tendons and ligaments will fail him, but he won’t retire because he can’t keep up. The guy is amazing and we are lucky to have him. I think it’s hard to appreciate because, as KB24 said, he’s not a fluid smooth player like Kobe or MJ. But he knows the game better than they did and physically can bully younger players when he wants even at this age. He is an orchestrator in the body of a power forward, so he can change his game to extend his career unlike aging shooting guards. He is like Magic, but with a football players body.

some lateral quickness in one-on-one defense, some straight line speed (though i think it's more that he doesn't use it because stopping is harder, hence that spin move he uses on the break a lot). but as others said, he's a much better shooter than he was, and he's not afraid anymore (which he most certainly was, basically until he got that first title).

i'm really encouraged by his effort and impact on defense this year. felt like he might be cooked there after last year, which was going to be problematic for roster building.

still wish he'd be more willing and able to operate out of the high post, as i expected he would later in his career. but he went with the deep three option, which may actually be working better.

He's more earthbound now, he can't really just get up and dunk all the time like when he was younger. I think that's pretty noticeable. He's also lost a bit if the first step, which is why he doesn't just blow by people to the hoop as much as he used to.

Have you been watching the games this year? He's going to the hoop at will all game long.
