If we can’t get Iggy, I’d like to after Kevin Knox, who has fell out of favor with the Knicks. Dudley, Horton-Tucker and 2nd round picks might do the trick.

Seems like a last ditch desperation bump on the part of the Grizz. They're not getting offers (outside of maybe 2nd round picks and cash) , nor will they and they're somehow surprised.

Are they really going to be that big of a d*** to such a figurehead in the NBA? they'll eventually concede and let him go. Not worth burning future bridges over.

I’m more intrigued with the potential of Horton-Tucker than Kevin Knox.

Technically a 2yr deal if he opts in to his final year next summer. The GiannisPlan would still be safe.

But can’t do anything without Green and either Kcp’s consent or McGee’s consent + Av.

We sacrifice some 3&D, but gain a playmaker to help spell Bron.

Anyone want to explain how we are getting ANYONE in a trade here? Especially ones who are making 30 mil per a year?

Makes 27m and it’s not realistic for every trade target to be here. I think we all get that.

But for those interested, there’s a possibility (as unrealistic as it may be) to bring em on board. Just giving those interested the salaries necessary to match.

Does that work for you? If not, I’ll send my reps to Temecula to discuss terms haha.

derozan's never been much of a passer/playmaker. he's just a very good iso scorer. but without a 3pt shot. his defense is also less than spectacular. i honestly don't think i'd move green for him, much less half our roster.

Pop could have had the young core instead of Derozan. They’d be fighting for the playoffs right now with Aldridge being the Robin.

    (Am I doing it right)

    lol, yes, but:

honestly, ingram/ball/hart instead of derozan might have them in the same or better position.

and you'd have to trade all four listed and several firsts not to receive a dial tone if you're asking for our current "robin".

Pop is good at getting the best out of his players, he just need the talent. Ingram/Ball are better than White/Murray/etc.

But yes, like with PG we would have had to pay a high price, much higher than what we paid for AD.

i don't know if ball is better than white and murray right now. ingram is. but your point stands about pop getting more out of guys--that applies more strongly to undertalented specialists, though, i think. he's not getting more out of derozan and aldridge than others did, for example.

now that i say it, SA has been losing some cache in that regard. they let baynes go for basically nothing, and he's thriving elsewhere. they let bertans go for the opportunity to sign marcus morris, and bertans looks as good or better elsewhere.

maybe it was more playing with td/manu/parker.

Rich Paul intentionally screwed with the Spurs so they could lose Bertans. This was in response to the Spurs telling other teams not to trade with the Lakers. That's what those losers get... karma's a B.

I'm pretty sure once these Lakers make a deep playoff run (and god willing, hoist the trophy), all that reticence to come to the Lakers we've seen from star players (Aldridge, Horford, etc.) will be a thing of the past, and this will be the preeminent destination for future free agents. We may have gotten that already with the AD trade.

Yeah the Grizzlies know there's a bunch of teams that would like him. I think they don't care about the appearance of letting him rot for half a season and will get a team to give up something that they consider worthwhile rather than just buying him out. I think we lose out on him.

makes sense. and cuban would love to screw the two la teams and houston. but iguodala has to be ok with it. i know everyone likes to act like that's not true, but it is. if he tells cuban he'd rather not, the mavs kinda have no choice but to back off.

that said, it's a good fit both in terms of his role and their needs, and in the level of assets (2nd rounder, mild salary relief).

whatever. keep him off houston and lac. mavs aren't a threat to the lakers this year.
