Yeah the thing about Green is that if we trade him, it’s essentially a lateral move since the other team that will have interest needs that x-factor player for the playoffs, which is exactly what Green is to us...and last I checked, we want to make the playoffs too.

So that leaves only one possibility: a disgruntled and/or 2nd tier star that you try to get with Green. Problem with that is, Green doesn’t make as much salary to bring a 2nd rate star player and his salary (ie 25m+) back to us. So that’s the obstacle there. And like you said, that’s also the obstacle with Kuz’s salary as well.

Btw, I only entertain a Kuz trade if we get back a disgruntled star or a likely lottery pick.

I still believe the most likely targets this year will be ones that we pick up off the waiver wire with cuts made to our own roster to facilitate it.

We do have real issues though

Poor spacing, poor shooting as of now, not enough guys who can get their own bucket

    4 possible trade/upgrades:

    1) Better backup pg to replace Rondo or at least close games possible if we want more offense/shooting than Avery.
Mills, Forbes, Maybe DJ Augustin type of guy. Allonzo Trier maybe (fits 1 and 3 to an extent)

    2) Wing Defender.
If we get Iggy from buyout, that is fixed, but hes not a good shooter. Can create for others though and smart guy

    3) Bench sparkplug 3 point sg/sf.
Korver, Reddick, Bertans, Doug Mcdermott, etc.

    4) Stretch 5 to replace Javale (who has been stepping up, but our spacing is an issue)
Kaminsky, Dedmon, Meyers Leonard, Olynk. Who else?

What we need is another LeBron to spell LeBron. imagine 48 minutes of LeBron, we will not be in any peril whatsoever at any point of a game.
