    Seemed like Toronto scored inside whenever the hell they wanted and actually knocked down three pointers when it mattered. Unlike our players. Oh well. On to the next.

    They needed a game like this against a well oiled machine so that they can see their true faults and actually get burned by them. A few things that stuck out:
    • their offense still isn’t running smoothly, they were just able to mask it with talent;
    • LeBron can’t run point all season AND be there for the big moments to win the games, he’s going to burn out and/or get injured;
    • we need a regular guard to run the offense and I don’t think it’s Caruso. He’s ok against the inferior teams, but I question him against experienced teams;
    • obviously kCP needs to be traded;
    • and I’ll give Kuz til thanksgiving to show he’s the Kuz we thought he was before I get concerned with whether he’s lost focus. It may just be that teams are specifically preparing for him now and he hasn’t caught up because of the offseason.

    Turnovers. Sloppy play. Poor shot choices.

    In the first quarter, Bron and AD were imposing their will. Getting what they wanted. Raptors didn't have the available bodies to deal with either one of them. Bron went triple double hunting and AD moved on the perimeter. He's finally having more success out there the past two games, but he has to mix in a variety of both... unless the shoulder just won't allow it and that's a whole other issue.

    In terms of fairness, maybe we deserved to lose this one because we've won at least two games that we didn't.
    I just hope we can go back and win the next five or six as opposed to being exposed as not as good as we've been hyped the last few weeks.
    If LBJ was five years younger, I think he could carry us himself.
    He's still great but age is creeping up on him a little.
    We need AD to help LBJ close. Watching him first hand every night, I see why the Pelicans lost so many games.
    He's really good overall but so far hasn't shown the ability to take over at the end of games and dominate like a Dame, Kobe, Steph

    I think everything went wrong in this game:

    Fred shredded our normally awesome defense. The usually smart and composed Caruso made some horrible passes out there. The still super strong and athletic Bron had the lift of a past-his-prime-post-back surgery Luke Walton. We somehow build the lead early, then KCP comes in and all is lost. Our amazing role-player Green does... well... absolutely nothing.

    I could continue, but you get the idea. I know we have to lose some games, we will lose plenty more but it is still disappointing. Hopefully we can win tomorrow and all will be right.

    It's much more difficult to close as a big. There's been maybe 3 in the past 20 years with Shaq, TD, and Dirk. You have to rely on a guard to put you in a position to succeed and can't dominate the ball for all 24 ticks of the clock to make something happen and find a shot you want.

    Green doesn't seem to like to play against his former teams.

    Last night was bad but tonight will suck the proverbial big one when the Clippers instead smoke Toronto. Without Paula.

    ESPN headline will be Clippers take care of business, while the Lakers flounder.

    Lakers are losing at least 20 more games this year folks. Temper your expectations of a 70 win season. Lakers also will be getting help. I have a feeling Rondo is done in LA. Even if he comes back, that calf is an issue.

    shamet hadn't really been playing well anyway, tbh. put it this way: if he was our starting guard, people would be spamming all threads with admonishments of management for suggesting he should be in that role.

    but since he's theirs; he's great.

    btw, the clippers didn't pull away from toronto until the 4th, on the second night of a back to back for toronto after a big win for them. wonder why...

    Kawhi also had a worse night than LeBron. He was horrible...however, as you mentioned Tor was on the back end of a back to back and Lou went for 25.

    I think the Lakers lose tonight as well...

    at phx? yeah, that's going to be a loss. plus rubio always channels ray allen against us for some reason.

    possibly. i don't like that the game is in phx and that they've been playing well to start the season. i also don't like that they're pretty athletic on the wing and in the backcourt, which has seemed to be a problem at times for us.

    i'd like to see us be able to punish their somewhat ground-bound bigs, though.
