yea Knight is a "hot commodity" in the sense you can use him as an expiring for salary dump, he hasn't played significant mins since day 1 of signing that big time ext. with Pho.

Jesus christ can they be any more Clipper homer? So annoying to hear these guys talk - why the f*** would Iggy go to the Clippers when they have 17,000 wings already?! Makes no effing sense...the Lakers are a no brainer. We can pay more, Rob's his former agent, he will PLAY more, and he has a legitimate chance to win a championship (not to mention former Warrior and teammate of Iggy is MCGEE he will likely tell Iggy to come here)

IT is scoring 14 PPG in 22 minutes so far.
He's two seasons removed from an MVP caliber year.
I get no one believes in him because he's short, and can't fall back on his height like someone like KD but I've always thought we should have kept him since we were too dumb to keep Lou.
Maybe Bron didn't want him but we could sure use a player like him this season.

We’ve been there before. Having him on the floor was making us play 4 on 5 on defense every single possession, it was maddening. For as much as he will get you he will give up. There is no hiding him, he cannot play defense, not only because of the height, but because of his diminished athleticism. If people think Daniels or Cook are bad, this is another level. Don’t want him, feel for the guy and what happened to his career and all the money he lost and how the C Bags screwed him, but no thanks. My lasting memory of him is friggin’ Rondo abusing him and backing him down and scoring on him at the rim repeatedly just because he could. RONDO. That’s unacceptable.

We've never been there before with AD/Dwight/JaVale to clean up his mistakes.
We need a Lou/IT type catalyst imo.
I also remember being on an another message board and the team would give up 40 points in the first quarter and posters would start blaming him for the bad defense before he even entered the game.
This didn't happen once... it happened over and over.
IT's main problem for me is his bad attitude, but I still think he can play.

I don’t want any of those guys breaking their arms or burning out early having to cover for IT, it is almost legitimately like playing 4 on 5 on defense when he’s out there. Even they aren’t going to prevent stuff like what Rondo did to him either, because he’ll just get cleared out on. We could use another creator/scorer, but for me IT isn’t it, he and Lou aren’t in the same league anymore, and Lou is awful on defense too, so that’s saying a lot.

I dislike adding Melo but if Kuzma/KCP don't find their game and adding Iggy seems unlikely, we should take a look at Melo. He's garnered a bad reputation around the league but playing alongside Bron in a way that Dwight has found his role may help. It's tough to find two players getting as many opportunities as KCP/Kuzma playing as awful as they are.

You guys are killing me with these suggestions. KCP and Kuz are making it harder to argue my side, but Melo hasn’t played NBA ball in forever, and when he last did he was an inefficient over-the-hill iso chucker who couldn’t play defense to save his life. As horrible as Kuz was he at least has improved on defense and still has potential to stop playing like he is. Melo is hardened into a mold of what he is. I guess, I guess next to LeBron he could just stand still and shoot open shots in the corner, but that’s about it. This isn’t the international 3 point line, so he will never be that catch and shoot guy he was in the olympics. I just see guys like Melo and IT as lateral moves, MAYBE they improve our offense, but the defense immediately takes a huge hit. And defense you can count on when it matters, offense comes and goes.

That's what we said about Dwight, too. I get it, Melo doesn't have a strong reputation currently but let's say Kuzma and KCP continue their poor play and Iggy is out of reach. What other option can we rely on? As I've said, Kuzma and KCP are playing REALLY awful right now. Tough to imagine a scenario where Melo can't at least create some scoring off the bench. The problem with Houston and OKC is they turned him into a stand-and-shoot player. Melo has to be down in the low post coming off the bench for 15-20 minute spurts.

You can't watch what Kuzma and KCP have been doing and think they have played average defense. Kuzma has been terrible both on and off the ball. He had a few lucky backboard shots against the Bulls and other than that, has been our worst performing player. I've already stated that IF Kuzma and KCP continue this horrible gameplay and Iggy isn't an option. Melo could provide some minutes for LeBron off the bench and some quick points are all we need to keep our offense going when no one else can buy a shot. We have our defense to fall back on but our offense hasn't looked pretty at all. One of the worst at three point shooting and once LeBron is out, we have to depend on guys who don't look ready to run the offense.
