The defense absolutely EARNED that W! Man, we did everything to give them the game but damn, damn, damn! That right there might be the game that pushes that confidence and playing hard....AND SMART. WMC- offsides and all the left points off the board. Not going to complain too much cause them boys put it down. Just Win Baby!
Boy the sports pundits are really struggling to give the Raiders a legit chance. If the Patriacheats had beat Miami on Thursday night it would of been the lead story on all the shows. We would hear how amazing they are and how no team can touch them. Doesn't matter Miami sucks beyond sucks. The Raiders finish the toughest schedule but you barely hear about it. We hear about the travel but no credit for the competition and stuff. I will say they are saying we should be 7-5 by the end of the next 2 weeks. I agree with them on that.
Highlights Rewatch THREE INTS another 2 int wiped off by penalty another one batted and touched by three Raiders - but no one corraled it. another one nearly INTd. That's nearly seven INTs. Five in the defenders' hands and secured by play's end. Wow. Ingold had two penalties that were backbreakers at the time. My brother texted me, "Fire him." I cautioned patience. He converted a big fourth and one. And then he scored a TD. Big game for him. Maybe the best mix of RBs we've seen. Jacobs 16-71-1, 3-30 Richard 2-0, 4-43 Washington 1-0, 2-19 Ingold 1-3, 1-9-1 That's 20 carries, 74 yards, and a TD. And the 10 receptions, 101 yards, and a TD through the air is awesome. 175 yards and 2 scores on 30 touches - great ball control. Couldn't tell who was in at RB on Ingold's TD, but he got a great block to spring the play. Pretty sure it was Jacbos - only dude with sleeves. Jacobs is that all-around back. Short yardage run game wasn't great. Jacobs got stuffed. Washington got stuffed. I think Washington misread Incognito's block, honestly. Jacobs had no shot. I think Richard got stuffed on a third down, too. I know the OL gave up some sacks, but I saw some beautiful plays from Incognito and even Miller (on a third and 6 on that first drive of the fourth Q). Miller is a giant, by the way. I know Trent Brown is huge, but Miller makes him look pedestrian. Let's talk about LA's last drive. Two guys in Rivers's face on third down, ball overthrown, nearly INT. Fourth down, breakup by (Joyner?), but a holding on 27. Next third and 10, near sack, forced a bad throw. Fourth down - near sack, forced a pass, grat coverage and an INT. They just had Rivers's number there.
Mullen could possibly be a very good corner (tempered expectations)... Long, physical, fast and looks to tackle unlike the last one we had. Reminds me of Albert Lewis. We also have capable reserves in Nixon and Johnson. Too bad neither can play safety.
Joseph to IR - done for season. They brought in Swearinger for that. Key officially to IR. Dion Jordan (formerly of Seattle) in for him.
Poling (not Polian, lol, as I'd typed) gone from the roster, too. I think he was signed for Key's spot initially.
Joseph's injury apparently happened on the last play of the game... Freak stuff. Ugh. Swearingen is an older clone...similar play. Jordan...vaguely familiar by name. Hopefully he can contribute asap. Where's Mayowa? Next two games look easy on paper.
...Pittsburgh loses and we gain the 2nd Wild Card spot (for now). And Garrett lost his mind. Da hell?!
