We need some outside shooting badly....
And let's vote Okafor or Towns- who do we want more?)))

I'll take either one for various reasons. Towns is the better fit, though. I'd be excited over either one, though.

I wish they'd put both Okafor and Towns' Minny workout online. They're going to tank that thing so damn hard. Whereas for us, both are going to bust their a**.

Okafor shows up with two bags of cookies at the workout. Towns can't find the gym all of a sudden. Now the tanking is on those two not teams anymore.

If we get him..... shoot Vitti an email just so he knows what you're seeing. WTF. Couldn't hurt, right?

Okafor is already a polished low-post offensive weapon, but Towns can and will do more NBA things (especially shoot with range, defend P&R).

when did "spacing" become three point shooting only? you think people are just going to walk away from kobe? didn't he shoot a crazy percentage on catch and shoot threes a couple years back (pre-injury). dudes act like he's mkg or something.

Wonder why no one wants to play in Minny. At least it doesn't get FRIGID like Siberia in the winter. Oh wait.

I've been on the towns bandwagon since early on, but it's a very close call. the idea that okafor can't become a good defensive players is sort of odd to me. marc gasol and Andrew bogut are two of the better defensive centers in the nba. I don't think they're more agile/clever than okafor in any obvious way.

Well I am completely content right now. We can just sit back, relax and just take whoever the Wolves don't take.

We will make a star out of whichever guy we pick.

I don't know his percentage without looking it up. That's why I mentioned Kobe will do other things to compensate for his lack of 3-point shooting or if he's struggling on a particular night. Quite frankly, Kobe isn't playing much next season. He'll either be 'resting' or sitting out due to injury...

There is just no reason for anyone to be fretting right now. We will be fine with either guy folks.

Hilarious, Minny is in a quandary, Pekovic and Okafor cannot play together, Pek is locked til 18. What will they do? Okafor has been my boy but I could live with a taller shotblocking mobile center like Towns. Win win Laker fans no matter what.

I tend to agree with this; I hope he could at least be average on that end...he's shown flashes.

I would agree with you, but the way the league is trending; we have to be at lease due our due diligence in a couple of areas regarding both of these guys...

    Agree.

I would be stunned if Kobe lasted the entire season. The only way is if we strictly limit his minutes and even then I just can't see his body holding up.

If it weren't for those thin legs and the way Towns lands, I would be in the Towns camp. Regardless, we have finally caught a break. What's awesome is we could end up with Okafor/Randle/Clarkson. Philly, who has been on the most tanktastic run in NBA history, will likely have Embiid/Noel/Russell. Who is in better shape (with LA's weather, media opportunities and tradition being thrown out the window)? I mean, I'd take our "Young Three" over Philly's.
