assuming health, we should be a lot better by season's end. the clippers will improve, too, but not by as much, imo. we'll see, i guess. i'm not too surprised by this game, nor will i be surprised if we lose at utah, either. that's a rough opening slate.

 

At least not every game will have a playoff vibe. The season is a marathon and we started it with a sprint, there's going to be a stretch that'll be a grind and thats when our gears start turning.

 

I like our team. A few tweaks down the line as the weaknesses become apparent and I’m good.

I think as much as Lebron wanted to teach the Dips a lesson he knows deep down it's the first game. It's not his first rodeo

 

I don’t worry about Bron, except for injuries. He has understood this game for a long time and how to manage it. If you ever feel unsure, just think about the trash heap teams he’s competed with, whether you think he built the teams or not. We just need to get to the playoffs.

Do they even consider what it would feel like being on the receiving end of that ball, especially when you don’t see it coming. Not a good feeling surely.

 

AD hadn't played an NBA game since 3/24 and was mostly inactive since 1/21 besides a 15-game stretch with low minutes. No playoffs. Lebron hadn't played an NBA game
since 3/31 and missed a ton of other games between 12/27 and 3/31. This was the longest break he's ever had and no playoffs. The Clips played until 4/26 including an impressive series vs GSW and Kawhi played until 6/13. Of the Lakers that played only LBJ, KCP and McGee have played in a game together and it's a new coach and system. We just played our toughest competition most likely and they were clearly more grooved into their system and at speed. We have more room for improvement imo even taking into consideration PG eout. Agree with Shannon Sharpe Adding Kuz, Rondo, not too mention Caruso who will help a bit eventually. Also I believe 85% chance
Iggy signs with us over the clips. We can offer slightly more and offer far more of a role.

yeah, you know the buzz is real when the ringer and espn start trying to dream up trade scenarios to get him anywhere but la. it may not happen, but it won't be because both parties aren't very interested in it.

 

Agree. I'm just hoping we land him. I think a trio of Green, Kuz, Iggy (limited mins due to age), have us looking a lot more balanced...

 

i agree. the clips essentially beat us with two short scoring runs that could have been shorter if we had iggy on the roster.

 

The Lakers will destroy the Jazz tonight and by doing so also reverse the mood around here and make this place as cozy as I know it can be.

 

I do like our match up with the Jazz.
I hope we stick with our starters and not throw Rondo in there, Conley struggled last game but we're going to need Bradley and Green against Conley and Mitchell.

Our weakness in wing defenders isn't as big a problem this game with them having Ingles, Bojan and Oneal.

Gobert is a beast and might give AD some struggles but outside of him, we'll have a size advantage.
