How nobody cares ,if they are favorites to win Western conference and NBA ,but with their injury's and schedule Clippers could be out of playoffs by Christmas

So it’s only the first game, emotions are high, but still my wmc: our stars decided to disappear in the second half, KCP 27 minutes ZERO points, and our bench unit got absolutely smoked 60-19. Ouch. I’m hoping Kuz comes back soon because that can not happen otherwise our starting five will have to play out of their minds to win most games. Not a good formula for the regular season.

well didn't think we'd start the season with the WMC... But here we are:

I'll give my usual WTF to the officials giving the punkclips everything but that isn't why we lost.

4th quarter play by Lebron and KCP is what cost us the game. Lazy passes and careless turnovers by both (KCP all game) was not good. Not getting AD the ball in the 4th too. It's going take a little time to get our groove but I'm pissed at this damn loss. Lets shake it off and get our Doomsday next game.

This game highlighted our biggest weakness : lack of size on perimeter ( KCP as a 2nd defender on Kawhi).

Iggy or any other good SF with size is a HUGE need

i think people might underestimate that our guys have very little experience playing together, whereas the meat and potatoes of their offense (and the guys that did us in) have a mind meld from lots of experience. add in that kawhi is a plug-and-play guy--he pounds iso and finds the nearest open guy, basically--and you have a team that was going to be ready to play their game sooner than the lakers were.

the thing that probably bothered me the most was getting outhustled for boards time and again, all game long. that's want-to. i don't think that's on vogel, either. i think the stars need to lead by example and hold folks accountable when the ball bounces in the paint on the defensive boards and the other team's pf beats everyone to it.

    Doc/Lou/ET: 31mins for Kawhi
    Vog/Kidd/Hollins: 36 for Bron, 37 for AD

...and we lost by double digits.

We were thoroughly out-coached tonight...but what’s X&os when we loaded up on shooting, right?

Still, it’s game 1 of the regular season and we got time to regroup, but what makes this one standout is that we will be seeing these guys one way or another when the real season starts...and their coaching vs ours in a 7 game series is a problem.

oh come now...lou shot a ton of jumpers. made a ton, but of his 14 shots, 2 were in the paint, and he barely even threatened to go there. what he did do was get the defense moving to cover the roll man, which we couldn't do for some reason. i think harrell's more of a threat to pass to the corner than our bigs, so ours are easier to gum up.

also, their guys were kind of allowed to grab everyone on both ends. they got a couple dunks that way.

KCP getting 27 minutes. That's all.

    Oh and LeBron disappearing.

Oh and AD not getting the ball.

Oh and too much iso post up.

Oh and too many forced passes

GOd damn it - can't believe it only took ONE game for WMC to be back..

Kobe would have died (yes I said it) rather than let the Clippers gain that advantage in the first statement game with AD against the inner city rival. Maybe we still would have been KCP'd out of the game, but I saw enough games where Kobe dragged a sack of crack supporting cast to at least come back and make it a game.

And furthermore, I think if these type of games pull KCP out of the rotation than do so. I feel glad when he is out of the rotation. Too much needs to go right for him to be effective. I feel Vogel helped the Clippers back into the game when we started with a lead, and I agree he could not halt the rot. Shades of bad coaching past with the leaning on the stars to solve things as crying for an emphasis on defense in a woody hollow way.

Poor perimeter defense, lazy passing late, Davis settling for jump shots, especially late.. was annoying. Vogel running the dumbest line-ups he could think of.

Lebron had no identity on offense.. he's not a PG and he wasted a lot of clock and made poor passes. He didn't seem to have his head in the game, maybe stay off Twitter.

Vogel = Luke 2.0 (dumb subs and lineups).
