Jared Dudley I sorta understand and he is a well liked around the league. He's definitely a locker room stability guy more than a dude who is going to fill in some stats.

But Daniels was a bit weird. It almost seemed like a knee jerk reaction to the complaint of us having no shooting last season. But I don't see the scenario where we HAD to sign him early. It seems obvious that KCP had a wink-wink guarantee if we didn't sign the third star, so why jump the gun and sign Daniels before? It's not like there wasn't a contingency plan in place for us missing on Kawhi. The second we didn't get him we immediately signed Green, KCP, Rondo, etc.

My guess is that we wanted to reforge a relationship with Bartlestein/Priority Sports who reps both Daniels and Dudz. Maybe we were trying to make a play at TJ McConnell, Portis, Taj or Ellington (who was rumored to be one of our trade targets last year) if we whiffed on Kawhi. But still, just odd timing of it all during that portion of the moratorium.

Btw I agree with Dudz and his locker room presence. I actually like the guy...but more so for our coaching staff. Bron, AD and Rondo are enough for our locker room imo.

Dude would be nice here next to AD long-term ...now if there was only some way (and pieces) to trade for dude.

    What’s good Kuz? Haha

Wow, I guess he’s working his leverage on them. He hasn’t done that much yet, but he looks full of potential. Probably thinks he deserves the max LOL

I actually hope they find a way to keep him

rodg has been a big fan of sabas jr since the outset. i like him, but see him as an awesome 3rd big rather than a starter at either position. i could be wrong, though.

Sounds about right. He isn't better than Javale or Dwight. He also probably would go to the bench in crunch time as I think our closing lineup will be AD/Kuz/Lebron/Green/Bradley.

I like the kid a lot. He was one of Indy’s defensive aces last year with Dipo down and allowed Turner to play weak side where dude was eating up blocked shots. Imagine AD in that capacity and kid has them Sabonis genes...he’s a tank and will only continue to thrive in bodying the strongest players in the league till the next Shaq (or Shaq’s kid) eats his a** up.

I don’t see an avenue where a viable trade is between us that doesn’t involve Kuz, but if it does come down to where there’s some traction, they do have some playmaking PGs that would be ideal to pluck away in an expanded deal.

Anyways, JJ just got scooped by the Bucks and will enter their G-League affiliate. Kinda wish we did it to get him back with SouthBay. I’m pretty sure it would still be legal to get him to sign an Exhibit 10 contract even though we traded him.

Also Plumlee is available now, although I’d still go with Noah or Faried before any other big on the market right now.

Waiters is a Klutch klient and something tells me he isn’t really concerned with losing minutes to Herro...it has more to do -tension over an ex.

Speaking of which it’s been a busy afternoon:

Should have offered him a fully non-guaranteed Dwight type deal and dropped Dudz tbh.

    Meanwhile...

And JJ says he’s not done with NBA:

Was kinda hoping Woods would get dropped instead. That’s another young big I would have hoped we gave a chance to.

So Zion is out 2 months with knee surgery. Unfortunate for him and their fans, who will now feel what Lakers fans felt for several years. He’s too big to play with that much force.

If he were to come here and win a ship, I don't see him leaving.

Rob needs to call Memphis. Wine then, dine them, tell them a biblical tale, and convince them to let him go. We'll owe them one.
