I hear you. I hadn't really read through the other thread when I posted that.

Yeah, I don't see anything wrong with a guy believing in his own abilities. For all we know, it could turn out to be true at some point.

Yeah, he's in the same boat as Mudiay. They both have tons of talent but the most to prove in workouts.

I wasn't naming anyone and it was really a tongue in cheek kind of moment. I understand why some people gravitate towards Russell and why some others gravitate towards Stan. It's no big deal I just thought it was funny how the two reactions were so different. I didn't even notice the particular posters in either case.

I do like this Draft if we get to keep our top 5 pick..
Mudiay, Russel, Okafor, Towns, Hezonja & Winslow are all welcome as far as I'm concerned...

He also looks thinner in that picture he's holding the tennis balls in...good deal.

Trying not to jinx us out of any pick at all, but I just have a feeling Okafor will be in a Laker jersey next year.

Hey. I'm fine with that too. Might be even better in the long run.

Could be intriguing option if we get a Towns/Okafor with our first pick

    http://www.basketballinsiders.com/nba-pm-who-is-george-de-paula/

Has project written all over him. But a kid with that size is worth bringing in for a workout and a conversation. We are doing a phenomenal job developing the young guys right now. If we see the upside and potential, he might be worth investment.

Unless the Lakers have a Kobe like workout with a kid, there's a good chance we trade the pick. Nevertheless, I could see something like grabbing Towns if we land number 1, going after Aldridge/Love, and that would be a homerun offseason.

I would be all for that as well. I still think we end up with Love. I can't see us striking out on all the big name free agents again to be honest.

"We know having a pick in the lottery is an asset," he said, "and with an asset like a pick you can use it to select a player, you could use it in combination with other picks to move up or down. You could trade it for an established player.
"We have a lot of financial flexibility this summer, so we don't have to move players out to take a player back. We have a lot of options if we're lucky enough to end up with the pick."

Reminds me of Shaq. Clanking free throws while shooting the toy basketball off the tips of his fingers on his huge mitts. I would imagine shooting a J or free throws with that size of hands like Okafor has is not ideal.
