that game had me so stressed out yesterday 2016 DC showed up..Captain Comeback cameo...you love to see it
17th 4th Quarter comebacks...12th among current active signal callers. No Stress Sunday until the 20th. Still a long road.
So, Jelly is out and Ateman is out. Lawson in and Zay Jones in. I've written about Lawson at length earlier in this thread. Jones has respectable upside. I have him as good for another 36 grabs, 400 yards, and 5 scores. Could be our second best wideout.
...and JJ Nelson out, Ateman back in. What's that saying? Talent is availability? Reliability? Nelson wasn't. Grant couldn't separate from his grandmother covering him.
This game is showcasing why the talking heads don't believe in Carr. Blown throws on our first series cost us a shot at a TD. Another goddamn turnover in the end zone trying to do what wasn't necessary that turns into another 7 for GB. We should of been up by atleast 3 instead we are down by 11 cause our QB continues to crack under pressure. Not looking good for us. I can't even see the second half so that makes it worse. Hope they pull it out.
Denver and LA Chargers lose... On to Houston. Week 8 Chargers in Chicago Broncos at Indy Mr. Rodgers visits Arrowhead...
Our middle line backers are getting killed. All first half the big plays were from blown man pick ups. I know I said it before but defense gets its energy from offense. And frankly we need better production from our leader. I said a couple times during the game that winning QB's don't make those mistakes or miss those wide open passes. Carr has all the tools but man I am not sold he got the chops when it matters.
Carr is becoming more of a game "manager" which is never a good thing in a fan's viewpoint...(see Alex Smith). So far: - missing our WR1 in Williams - no clear cut WR2 - lost our defensive captain Burfict - lost our starting S Abrams - a disastrous 2nd Quarter against KC' - a no show in Minny - blown opportunities to stay close against a superior Packer team per your points - a brutal stretch of away games Record of 3-3? I think we have exceeded expectations at this point.
- Conley was getting toasted by Sutton in Game 1, 2nd Quarter against KC ('nuff said), Thielen in Minny... Another up and down season from him to start. - Joyner? He's better off at safety where he can roam the defensive backfield. Even there, it's crowded with Joseph, Harris and Abrams had he not been shelved. - Worley who is a better tackler with good cover skills is now playing a "hybrid" position given our dearth at linebacker.
...and there's this SI bit off their MMQB article: I may sound crazy for saying this after Rodgers obliterated them, but I still think the Raiders are making progress. Derek Carr was efficient again (outside of the inexcusable fumble through the end zone), Josh Jacobs looked every bit the first-round talent at tailback, and the ball got spread around to a diverse group of skill players. The defense needs work, particularly at linebacker after losing Vontaze Burfict. But there’s talent on that side too. Mike Mayock and Jon Gruden have something going. Shocking! Oh and to add about that Jacobs kid:
Raiders' D is just awful. The TO was a stop in the books, and then they let Stafford tear them apart. He has 100 yards passing in 12 minutes.
Raiders - my projections vs performance (over 16 games) Carr is on pace for 3968 yards, 26 TDs, and 8 INTs. -Projection: 3760 yards, 22 TDs, 9 INTs --Carr is above projections. Jacobs is on pace for 1480 yards and 12 scores on the ground and 22 receptions for 204 yards through the air. Wow! -Projection: 907 yards, 7 TDs and 27 receptions, 208 yards, 1 TD --The receiving stats are pretty close, but he's destroying those rushing stats. He's a beast. Waller has cooled off, but he's still on pace for 96 receptions, 1096 yards, and 6 TDs. He annihilated my projections (14-170) in like two games. Renfrow has stepped up: 48 receptions, 514 yards, 4 TDs. -Projection: 18 reception, 178 yards, 1 TD --He has blown away projections. Williams, battling through injuries, is on pace for 46 receptions, 710 yards, and 10 scores. (Or more, if he stays healthy.) -Projection: 45-836-7 --We'll see. If he stays healthy, he'll crush those numbers, but if he stays about where he is, he'll underperform on yards. It's also hard to keep up the TD pace he's set. Moreau On pace for 28 receptions, 268 yards, 6 TDS Projection: 15-189-1 --He's already beyond his projections, really. Richard On pace for: 138 yards on the ground and 28 receptions, 240 yards. -Projection: 326 rushing, 1 TD; 40-391 receiving --Disappointing, but that's because Washington has stepped up a bit in the receiving game and Jacobs is just a beast. Look at D-Front I suggested: Mayowa would go for 11 QB hits, 4 sacks Key would go for 10 QB hits, 4.5 sacks Ferrell would go for 6 hits, 3 sacks That would total to 27 QB Hits, 11.5 sacks ACTUAL / TREND Mayowa 6 QB Hits, 5.5 sacks / 12 hits/11 sacks! Key 4 QB Hits, 2 Sacks / 8 QB hits, 4 sacks (but he's out) Ferrell 2 QB hits, 1 sack / 4 QB hits, 2 sacks (I upgraded Ferrell to 14 hits, 5.5 sacks, btw, after doing more digging on early round DE picks) Crosby Projection: 1 QB hit, .5 sacks. He's at 4 and 2, on pace to 8x those numbers.
