If you take the entire interview as a whole, it would be pretty hard to spin it negatively if you are being fair to him.

Essentially they were practicing closing lineups for the last two minutes with him as the primary ball handler, and he was mentioned as the point guard. His comment of preferring to be referred to as a ball player versus point guard versus shooting guard versus small forward versus center, etc. was pretty basic.

He said he would do anything to help his team in and whatever the coach wanted. So in context, it’s much ado about nothing.

Admittedly, there are times he comes across poorly. I did not think that this was one of them.

Hey Zen just finished watching Spy on Netflix. That was tense! Sasha, who knew you could do drama? And the skinny Syrian security dude with the killer's eyes and trigger finger was a scary em effer.

All the way to Assistant Minister of Defense the guy made it. Huge stones.

strong performances by mcgee and caruso in the first preseason game, imo.

lebron and AD were as expected (good luck, opposition).

    bradley definitely bothered curry some.

daniels brings deadeye shooting that's been lacking from the roster, but his d is...not great.

annoyed that rondo appears to be entrenched as a starter/heavy minutes guy, but at least he knocked down a couple threes. still made some lazy passes and even lazier defensive sequences, though.

howard did exactly what i'd ask.

green didn't do much, but his simply being a threat from three really opened the floor for lebron and AD to get those paint points.

on the other side, i liked how paschall looked as a potential backup big. looney starter kit. jay wright knows how to recruit heady players with just enough physical tools. gs's problem will be figuring out how to work in several d-leaguers into a complex read and react system. ask luke how that can go...

Caruso was out there with scrubs (minus Dwight and KCP who are questionable to degrees undefined but not scrubs) and yet Caruso ran them up from a 12 pt lead to a 20, then he went out and it became a single digit lead again then Vogel put him back in and he ran it up to 20 aga1n. It was very obvious his effect on the floor even my dad who has not followed the team in a long time was very aware Caruso was a big influence and with a not-so-good squad. LBJ and AD out there was scary. No answer. You can't scheme those 2. Real shooters thrown in the bargain? lol. We just got to make the playoffs healthy folks, massive load management needed. Don't even matter vs our main threat, the Clips because it's @ Staples either way. Sweet. Lakers vs Milwaukee in the finals.

No scrub is getting a fresh 8 million per year contract unless Klutch and LBJ are behind it.

Jalen is not good at the prediction game. Unfortunately.

    Some of Jalen's amazing predictions:

Kawhi is 99% signing with Toronto

Kevin Love is going to the Lakers

No way Kobe is scoring over 40 points on us tonight (1-22-2006)

True, it's just nice to see someone over at BSPN actually get behind the Lakers. And regardless of predictions, he's right. Our size in the front court is going to give opponents fits. We just need to maintain health. But we looked very good.

Yeah but funny nonetheless that a player like himself had to actually SEE Lebron, AD and Co in action to know they are going to be scary. It's these people like Skip Bayless that think LBJ can't share the ball with AD who are going to look ridiculous, I mean I soon as I heard LBJ and AD talk last year I was like "how do you scheme that, inside is going to be ridiculous and both can play outside and pass".

AD and Lebron pick and roll with no help from the corner with Green or another sniper sitting there. Kind of a pick your poison situation.

Dump off for the slam by Javale or Howard. Some very interesting options for sure.
